We stayed at this hostel, as we had a very early flight and wanted to walk the short distance to the airport, instead of taking a taxi from the center of town. The airport is near to the trolley bus and bus stops. Note that the international terminal is to the right and the local terminal to the left when facing the airport. After leaving the airport, cross Shiryamova Street and walk towards the space between the two buildings. The Bravo Hostel is a four story brown building on the left, which is not visible from the main road. The entrance is on the first floor to the right of an orange and white shop, with "TNT" in white letters. There were improvement works being carried out here, so we had to make our way past construction materials.||||We were not impressed with the entrance or the sign on the wall, which had a red arrow pointing upstairs, so didn't expect much of the accommodation. Having to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor didn't help our mood. We were surprised on entering, as the front desk was a piano, and a young receptionist who knew a little english was very helpful. Our room was near to the kitchen, and had two single beds, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The only negative were the sounds of construction when we opened the windows. There are a few items for sale near to the front desk, including soap, shampoo, snacks, soda and water.||||We decided to walk back to a small shop at the bus stop which had a few more options for supplies. The Kitchen was clean, and had utensils. A cable TV was also in this area. The front desk is 24 hour, so our checkout at 4am was efficient. we had a good rest and would stay here again. Don't be put off by the outward appearance as this was one of the better hostels that we stayed at...

Read moreThe closest residence to the airport, and very affordable too. They have separate rooms as well as shared dorms. I was only there for a short sleepover between travels, but I really appreciated the great staff (beautiful lady called Tatiana showed me around and helped find the best spot for my short visit). Sadly, the hostel is located on the 2nd floor and you'd have to carry your luggage all the way up the stairs, but that's the only drawback.||||The hostel has separate dorms for men and women, a small kitchen with a fridge and tea/coffee, and a small lounge area with a TV, sofa and microwave. In the corridor there's a sofa and a couple of fridges with candy, chocolate, cookies and soft drinks that you'll have to pay for separately. Coffee is also available from a coffee machine at reception at an extra charge. All rooms have decent WiFi, and there are free maps of Irkutsk available near reception. Overall, a very pleasant experience, I'll only stay there now for...
