The most horrible place in the region!!! The administration (Misha) and the cook (Amina) don't have any respect to the people who live in the hut. It seems that they don't want people to come. ||The food was disgusting and spoiled (3 people from the group had diarrhea!). Don't eat cheese and ham (but the last one you will not see). The meals are very poor and cheap. ||When we came back from the summit they even didn't give us hot tea! They explained it that we're going to Azau valley in several hours and we can drink tea there!!! But all servise was prepaid before!! ||||When you start complaining on the servise, the cook (Amina) start to punish you by stop giving the hot water and food. It's among the best imaginable and most comfortable locations to use as a basecamp for a summit attempt on Elbrus. As a basecamp it is remarkably comfortable. It outdoes all the other accommodations on Elbrus of above 3000 meter. There are no showers so bring wet wipes. Toilets and sinks are ok. Food is reasonably ok. The bunk beds and sleeping accommodations are basic, clean and comfortable. There are pillows and sleeping bags but you might want to bring your own sleeping bag. Wifi didn't work. Views are amazing. The administration and management is well willing but bureaucratic, unorganized and not very professional but if you speak Russian then they are open to remarks and try to do their best. We stayed at the hotel LeapRus in July 2016 with a large group of friends. We have booked everything in advance in December (6 month before arrival), but when we arrived at the hotel there were no places for our group, and we had to leave all the bags for a 5 hours in one small room, where there was no space even to change our clothes! But most importantly, the food was just awful! On the Summit day a few members of our group were seriously poisoned by food and it jeopardized the whole climbing.
