I stayed 3 nights at the Bay House during a visit to Petropavlosk-Kamchatskiy and was very satisfied with the experience. The Bay House is a sort of hostel, guesthouse and B&B rolled into one attractive package. The building seems very new and is set right on the edge of the water with a perfect view across to the volcanoes on the other side of the bay. My room on the 1st floor at the front of the building had this aspect as did the kitchen/dining area and lounge on the ground floor below. The sleeping room and indeed the rest of the building were constructed mainly from exposed wood with solid wooden furniture. In the sleeping room this included a queen-sized bed, low table that I used as a luggage rack, closet, stool and cabinet containing the minibar fridge. The room had a high, wooden loft ceiling and was a good size. The en suite bathroom had standard, modern fittings. A bathrobe was provided and the minibar had a small selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The room was not routinely serviced during a multi-night stay but would be if requested. ||||The dining area had long wooden tables with bench seating. A selection of kitchen utensils was provided along with a refrigerator for guest use and coffee/tea was available at no charge. A simple but ample breakfast was provided. The adjoining lounge area had sofa seating and a large TV. The free, password-protected wifi had a strong stable connection in my sleeping room and the common areas.||||The reception staff spoke English and were very helpful. The only downside to the Bay House is its distance from any of the downtown areas but as P-K is such a spread out city even “downtown” hotels can be distant from many things. When asked about dinner options the receptionist made a reservation for me at a very good restaurant with an English-speaking staff member and arranged for a taxi to take me there. They also relayed messages to me from a local tour agency and arranged for a taxi to take me to the airport at the end of my stay.||||The Bay House is highly recommended and I wouldn't say anywhere...

Read moreSmall and very cozy guest house is in 30 min walk from the downtown, 40 min drive by taxi from the airport. Slilled and very-very friendly staff make your stay very comfortable. Twin room at the second floor is big enough and equipped by necessary amenities (bathrobe, shampoo, soap, refregerator, mini-bar). TV is in the public place only. There is free and very fast wi-fi. Individual breakfast is simple but very delicious. Fantastic bay and mountain views from the room are unforgetable!||It is not very easy and comfortable to walk near the hotel (especially in the dark) due to clay road (wet under the...
