Clean. Friendly-indifferent service. Food in the restaurant quite edible (almost all of it imported). Ambiance – mildly tacky. I think three stars would be more like it. One thing was absolutely and inexcusably scandalous: We've arrived (on an extenuating business trip) close to midnight, absolutely starving. The bar was still open but all the calories available there were in liquid form ( + some sad-looking peanuts), and the remaining patrons evidently full of those calories and looking, and sounding, ready to pick a fight. At the desk we're informed that the restaurant is closed (like, 15 minutes ago). We ask for room service, but it is not contemplated outside the restaurant opening hours. We ask, nigh beg, for a couple of sandwiches but get the reiterated "the restaurant is closed". A piece of bread? Anything! The woman at the deck phones to the restaurant and talks to people there... so they are still there. But no luck: they are adamant: they are closed!!! "There are peanuts and crackers in the bar in your room", says the receptionist. More peanuts! No I know how elefants feel in the zoo! I fell asleep to the loud hungry protestations of my own stomach. No, not the way to treat the guests at a luxury hotel....
