In normal circumstances, and considering the small size of the city, I would try to maintain this hotel with a very average "3" mark, however I'll go down to "1" based on the detestable attitude of the hotel administrator.||||Maybe the good points to start with :||||1) Rooms are clean.||2) Reception desk ladies helpful and friendly.||||Then, the reasons for a potential "3" rate only :||||1) Poor breakfast, overall very little choice, some kind of chemical orange juice.||||2) Very weak Internet access all time long, night and day, reminding the beginnings of analog 56K Internet access 15 years ago. While internal wi-fi coverage and strength are OK, only the bandwith is a disaster.||||3) Room equipment so-so : not even a bin below the desk, fridge empty and unplugged, no complimentary coffee or water.||||4) Walls are thin and/or noisy. Neighbours are very audible at night, while they meet, drink or whatever.||||5) Reception personnel unable to supply me with a mere small, empty envelope that I needed.||||Now the reasons for a true "1" rate :||||1) Hotel policies change over time. While I was initally offered to either pay the whole stay at checking-in (which I fundamentally dislike when on business) or at checking out, that I happily selected, in the morning of the second day the reception desk personnel asked me to immediately pay the whole stay as my company had no contract with them, they were mistaken, etc. Besides the fact that I had no time to waste at that moment (taxi waiting to take me to work), the heavy insistance of the requesting personnel was inelegant.||||2) While I spontaneously gave them my passport to be kept by them so as to make a guarantee for payment, over time the whole thing was escalated to the hotel administrator who gave me no choice but to pay or they would find another hotel to me !||||3) This ended up by sending a very impressive squad (receptionist+administrator+body guard) up to my room to get the money paid.||||Additional negative anecdote :||||At 06.00 or 07.00pm, as I was trying to keep concentrated on my work, I was steadily disturbed by the TV noise of a neighbouring room that had its door open. I kindly kindly gave a ring to the reception desk in order to get at least the door closed. No change after 10 minutes waiting. Calling again, it appeared that the room was free, so probably some household personnel inside, spending the time watching TV. I insisted on the phone to get the door closed which finally resulted to be effective, as the unhappy personnel member suddenly slammed the door and went away...||||All in all, this hotel does not deserve more that "1", even in Stupino.||||To mention that all this happended without any kind of shout,...
Read moreNothing special = standard 2-3* - hotel. Ok, if you don't appreciate comfort, but need only to have a room with minimum facilities. ||Good points: despite room's equipment is deteriorated all are clean: bed, towels, wc / shower... ||Obviously my room was for smoking peoples, because of strong smell of smoke. If this point disturbs someone, just try to ask the room for no smoking peoples. If it helps? ||The staff is very friendly and helps with pleasure! Thanks a lot to the ladies on reception!||Breakfast is average, with small choice. ||Location is good: not so far away from main railways station, and biggest city-mall in 10-15 min in...
Read moreOk, so really the only hotel in town but actually not too bad considering this is a small town in Russia. I am actually impressed with the service.the lady on check in was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are pretty basic really but always clean. Breakfast is pretty basic and no juice included. I know this is a separate business to hotel so I can't blame the hotel. The location is good as it is in central Stupino so walking distance from the whole town (it's not big). Would be great if there was bottled water in the rooms. I've stayed here a few times and service really is...
