My wife and I were looking for an extreme relaxation vacation this year. Basically, soaking up the sun and reading books on the beach. Not being bothered with any plans or concerns. ||We chose Sandals St. Vincent because we hadn't been to this particular Carribean Island yet, the resort was brand new, and from the photos, the beach front looked very nice. ||We were not disappointed. ||From the beginning, our shuttle ride from the airport was entertaining. Maybe we lucked out, but our driver gave us an incredibly informative tour of all the local important landmarks as we traversed the winding roads for the hour ride to the resort. ||Upon arrival and in typical sandals fashion, we were greeted by a happy serenade from a group of smiling resort staff members. ||The resort is lovely. The centerpiece is the 100 yard long pool that extends from the main lobby out towards the waterfront. We spent 2 of our 9 days at this poolside enjoying drinks, relaxing, watching the various pool activities and not being bothered by anything but the occasional short rain shower. ||The beach front was not a disappointment either. The sand was soft and clean with a lengthy shoreline. There were plenty of chairs, the water was clear and warm, there were plenty of kayaks, water bikes, paddle boards and hobie cat sailboats to go around. We didn't bring our snorkel gear but I wish I had. I saw lots of folks out snorkeling and heard some talking about nice sightings. We spent 4 of our 9 days on the beach. ||The sun sets are in perfect view of this beach and the evening views were fantastic. Also noticed were the lack of air traffic. I think we counted 3 jetstreams the entire time we were there, although we weren't really looking. There was no air traffic noise as the airport was on the opposite side of the island.||The other 3 days we spent at the pair of tiered infinity pools that set just above the beach and have a fantastic view of the water with easy steps to the beach, bar, bathroom and several lunch restaurants. It wasn't easy to get seats at these pools. I had to wake up early and get out to a chair by 5:45am (maybe 15 minutes later would have sufficed). There was a rule that chairs could not be reserved before 7am, but the butler staff was out before then, reserving any available chairs for their clients. So I had to sit at a set of chairs and read for a little more than an hour each of these 3 mornings so that I could reserve these chairs at 7am. It was worth it. My wife was happy and I had a chance to catch up on my bible in the warm morning breeze. (poolside chairs at the main pool were never a problem). ||Our room was the usual Sandals luxury. Clean, spacious, beautiful view from our 2nd floor balcony. No sea view though. I think you might see the ocean from the 3rd and 4th floor, but not from the 2nd floor. The staff kept our bar stocked with water, coffee, sodas, champagne, wine, Tito's vodka and local rum. Never a shortage of any of these. We took champagne down to the beach on two late evenings to sit in the dark while I smoked a nice cigar and we listened to the soft surf. (I never saw anyone smoking anything during the daytime. They had a designated smoking area for that.) ||Back to the room. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The walk in shower had an overhead rain shower as well as a side spray, both could be on at the same time giving a nice shower experience. ||I will say that my wife wasn't pleased with the so called "tranquility tubs". She said they were not at all comfortable to take a bath in. I guess she wasn't tall enough, the sides were straight, so she couldn't sit comfortably. She would have preferred a walk out to a plunge pool like the first floor had.||An interesting feature in the room, was the media. We had both a media room, with a comfy couch and a probably 60 inch TV while there was also a large screen TV in front of the bed. The TVs allow for easy hookup if you want to bring a Roku or other media stick. There was also something called Chromecast that allowed you to easily mirror your cell phone to the TV screen. I used this to watch netflix and amazon prime video. It worked very well. The local wifi was adequate. ||One negative in the room design was the lighting. At night, if you wanted to use the toilet, turning on the bathroom light would light up the entire flat because they had stained glass windows instead of a solid wall separating the bathroom from the rest of the flat. I think they might try to fix this as I mentioned it to them and they said they had numerous complaints. ||As for the restaurants, we ate at all of the available options except one. Only two required reservations. There was no specific dress code like we had encountered at other resorts. The Chop House steak restaurant required reservations. We could only eat there once, and I'd say it was the best of the bunch. Nice ambience. I enjoyed a prime rib and lobster tail while my wife had a filet. Both were prepared very nicely. ||The only other restaurant having any real ambience was the sushi restaurant called Imora. If you like sushi (which I do), you can have it to your hearts content. My wife is not a sushi lover, but she allowed us to enjoy that restaurant twice for my sake. I had warm sake and wonderful rolls, sashimi, and the like. All very nicely presented. ||The remaining restaurants had more of a cafeteria feel. But we did not have any complaints about any of our meals. The food was always well presented and tasty. The wait staff at every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner, were always smiling and friendly. No sour faces as we had experienced once or twice at other resorts. In fact, I think the entire resort staff must have been well taken care of because everyone, from the front lobby greeting staff to the guys working the grunt jobs always gave us a friendly greeting. I wish I could remember names. There were one or two standouts. But alas, I can't recall the names. ||One young man approached us as we were walking to the restrooms one afternoon. He greeted us with a friendly hello, engaged us with a question or two and then proceeded to give us a lovely tour of the nearby gardens. He described each of the plants and beamed with pride in the landscaping work. When I asked if he was responsible, he simply said that his task was to maintain the lawns. (the lawns were beautiful by the way). ||It did rain every single day while we were there. One afternoon it got to the point that we were driven from the pool back to our room for an hour. But generally, the rain was very brief. 30 seconds to 5 minutes of a warm light shower. Then the sun returned. The days were generally sunny with occasional clouds to give a break. Temperatures were very comfortable, not stifling. ||Nightlife, well, we weren't there for the night life. I suspect that the younger crowd had a good time in the evening with karaoke and such. The couple of events we did attend in the evening (outside of the Sandals Select dinner) were pretty mundane. I think, being a new resort, they are still working out some of the kinks and figuring out what works and doesn't. They did try very hard. ||There was a massive superbowl party with great finger foods and a monster screen. (we grabbed some food, but didn't watch because our Buffalo Bills had lost in the semi-finals). ||For Valentine's Day they had something called "Voices on the Water". Again, a beautiful dessert selection. But the show itself was odd as they simply had a platform submerged in the main pool. A singer stepped down onto this platform, walked to the middle and sang. Then a woman with a sparkly dress did the same. The woman's dress got wet. The man's pants got wet. It seemed odd. But as I said, they seemed to be trying very hard.||There were dogs on the resort. 5 dogs roamed around the beach and the pool. We saw them throughout the day all around. They were strays. They were never a problem. While they didn't seem approachable, often they would simply come and park themselves beneath someone's beach chair to get out of the sun. They didn't beg at dinner. But were glad when someone offered them a bite. The only time I saw the staff try to shoo them was one afternoon we sat outside for lunch and 2 of the dogs were nearby. My wife quickly indicated they weren't a bother. So, I suspect the staff was on alert to see if anyone was being annoyed so they could step in if needs be. But as I said, they were never a bother. And I only saw one cat the entire week and only for a brief moment. There were the occasional small lizards scurrying about. No bug problems at all. Lovely hummingbirds and various ocean fowl. Bats flew about at dusk. ||We did not indulge in any off property excursions. They had the usual fair. Sunset cruises, various snorkeling cruises, a trip to the volcano, island hopping, an ATV adventure of some sort. Nothing grabbed us so we opted to just relax as was our original plan. The only one we regretted missing was something describes as a kayak tour to the bat caves. It was a free excursion. We tried, but our timing was off and so we missed what sounded like an interesting experience as described by some folks we spoke to.||In conclusion, our overall impression of the resort was top shelf. Our few minor complaints were just that, minor. You'll have these no matter where you go. If you are looking for a wild and crazy time I suspect you'll be disappointed. If you are looking to relax in some really beautiful surroundings with very friendly people, this is your place. ||I hope this...

After months of research and YouTube reviews, my husband and I chose Sandals St. Vincent and the Grenadines for our honeymoon—and it was the best decision. Once we saw this resort, we kept comparing everything else to it. Nothing came close.
We were drawn to the resort’s newness (opened March 2024), wide range of activities, multiple pools, varied dining, the spa, gym, and yes—the bikes!
Arrival & First Impressions
From the moment we arrived, we knew we picked the right place. The staff greeted us with cold towels, refreshments, and even a welcome song. We arrived early, knowing our room wouldn’t be ready. No worries—they held our bags and we were able to enjoy all that the resort had to offer!
Amenities
The gym was spotless and well-equipped (though I didn’t use it, because.....vacation!). The Red Lane Spa was a highlight. Even without booking services, you can enjoy the serenity pool, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room—a hidden gem we often had to ourselves.
Chairs, Cabanas & Pool Space
Pools were clean and plentiful, each with a unique feel. We mainly hung out at the main pool with the swim-up bar.
We’d read complaints about cabanas being reserved for butler guests or the need to claim pool chairs early. Here’s our honest take:
Yes, cabanas at the main pool were always reserved—we never saw one open. But it didn’t bother us. We’re not the type to stay in one spot all day, and there are plenty of other pools. While the main pool cabanas were taken, we saw open ones at a nearby pool—they’re not impossible to find.
There weren’t tons of open chairs at the main pool during peak hours, but we never felt stressed. The Parisol pool was always packed. But just 20 ft away, the beach had plenty of open lounge chairs and umbrellas. We ended up spending more time there, why choose a pool when you have a beautiful beach!
If having a guaranteed shaded pool spot or cabana matters to you, it may be worth booking a butler-level room. For us, the layout offered more than enough comfy places to relax without the extra cost.
The Staff – Exceptional – This is truly the area that made our stay unforgettable. Every single Sandals employee we encountered was pleasant, accommodating, and just genuinely fantastic. We naturally gravitated toward the Entertainment crew since they were often stationed around the main pool. It was obvious their mission was to make every guest's experience one-of-a-kind, and they totally delivered. They went out of their way to create a fun, inclusive environment and made sure everyone was having a great time.
Special shoutouts to:
Shazar – a.k.a. Shazzam! (Seriously hope that nickname sticks!) His personality and sense of humor were absolutely infectious. He had this magnetic energy that pulled you in. He even jumped in during volleyball games to help even out the teams, and he always made time to check in and ask how our day was going, every single time we saw him.
Omali – He truly goes above and beyond to understand guests’ needs and genuinely cares about making sure you're enjoying yourself. He remembered our names for our entire stay and greeted us by name each time we crossed paths. He took the time to have real conversations with us and made us feel like we were his only priority.
Kysha – An absolute badass! Not only was she part of the daytime fun crew and a total team player during our volleyball matches, but she’s also a fire breather! She was featured in one of the evening entertainment shows and completely stole the spotlight with her incredible talent.
Ernesto – This guy is a born entertainer. Whether he was pulling off wild acrobatic moves at the pool or blowing fire during the evening show, he brought the energy and showmanship every time.
Nolliesha – A beautiful soul with the kind of uplifting energy that’s impossible to ignore. She was always engaged in making sure guests felt welcomed and included in activities. She never seemed too busy to stop, say hello, and check in on how your...
Read moreSandals has outdone themselves on this stunning property which is by far the nicest Sandals we have visited over many years. We’ve just returned from our third visit to Sandals St.Vincent and are booked to return.
Butler guests will be taxied to the marina where you have the privilege and option to be transferred (round trip via Sandal's luxury yacht “Jillie Bean” with Captain Tommy at the helm. First recommendation: book a Butler room to enjoy this idyllic mode of transportation which is the perfect start to your relaxing resort vacation. Worth every penny. Another perk for Butler guests is the terrific Butler cruise where dolphins are known to make an appearance. Sign up with your Butler, a not to be missed cruise.
As you approach the dock, you are greeted by breathtaking mountain vista views and the calm and clear Caribbean Sea along with the spectacular two story overwater villas and the beautiful Beachfront villas with private pools. Your arrival is picture perfect and honestly, photos do not do this property justice. You are greeted on the dock by your Butlers offering cold towels and a refreshing tropical cocktail. There are Butlers and then there are BUTLERS! We hit the Butler trifecta with Dianne, Orlicia and Shevern, the absolute best Butler team we have had over the years. Second recommendation: request Dianne, Orlicia and Shevern; you will be pampered to your hearts desire and then some. We had the best front row beach chairs at the Infinity pool every day and I can tell you this is primo real estate so a very big thank you to our team for securing these chairs for us. They worked hard every day to bring us all kinds of surprises and fulfilled every single one of our Butler Preferences before we arrived making for a very smooth and easy start to our vacation. It was really hard leaving these ladies on departure day. Thank you for making our trip super special!
You will feel like you are in the Caribbean with this resort's stylish and sophisticated, yet modern decor everywhere you look, kudos to the Design Team. Rooms, restaurants, lobby, pools and common areas are a cut above the usual Sandals properties and it being only one year old, everything is fresh and new. The landscaping is lush and tropical and extremely well maintained and more mature than it's one year age. The fire bowls and evening landscape lighting create a special romantic ambiance; very well done.
Third Recommendation: If you are a Diamond level member, do NOT miss the luncheon. Ours was on Friday aboard the fabulous Jillie Bean. Bring your swimsuit because they stop in a bay where you can swim and frolic in the beautiful sea with the GM, several mgmt staff & the Wonderful Willy, Loyalty Mgr, as star of the show providing a ton of fun and laughs with yummy food and dessert offerings. We stopped where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean and had a great sailing adventure. Much to everyone's delight, on the way back, Captain Tommy managed to find a school of dolphins who joined in the fun. What an absolute awesome perk to reward guest loyalty. We had a blast. Thank you and please keep this as part of the weekly itinerary.
Butches is a must go with beautiful decor and wonderful food. Try the lamp chops and corn and chowder soup. Rhiann, the hostess, is the sweetest and kindest person; thank you for taking the time to visit with us. Excellent service provided on our first visit by Tiffany and Juhurra on our second visit. Scrimshaw and Gatsu Gatsu excellent food and atmosphere. Enjoyed the many options at the Sora breakfast buffet and had exceptional service by Tameka. Sora also has a themed buffet lunch and great Italian dinner choices.
This property is stunning in every aspect; they market it as a 2.0 but I'll add+++. It checks all the boxes for us and we have several return trips booked. Recommendation Four: Visit the loyalty office and see Okieve, he knows his stuff and will take great care of you. Thank you for such a warm welcome on our arrival and following up with us throughout the week. You are a superstar! A...
