Full Review:
Location: Hotel is the closest to Haram from Ghaza street, about 10mins to Al Marwa Gate. Once the expansion is over, this might be even shorter.
It’s less than 5mins away from Masjid Al Jinn, and next to 2 smaller Madjeds.
Rooms: Upon arrival, our room was clean, beds made up, there were no towels, no water or amenities however (until we called)
There were no cards, leaflets or instructions to get hold of reception or access different services.
It’s: 7011 | 7012 for reception & 7050 for room service.
The QR cards placed around the room didn’t work The room wasn’t comfortable for 4 people. You can tell this is your regular double room with extra beds added. The tete-à-tete table was placed in the corner in a way that made the chairs almost impossible to sit it. Soundproof rooms, which is a great perk.
Food: We mostly ordered room service and tried some of their dishes. The service was good, the mixed grill arrived cold, but the food usually tasted good.
Their menu is accessible online with a variety of options to choose from.
Hotel: It’s big with multiple spaces to sit in on floor M, and up to 24 elevators on G.
There is a large prayer room for the women as well as men. The Imam they had made a very moving speech after prayer once, may Allah reward him. Each floor has a wide corridor with seating areas.
The Wi-Fi was good all over the hotel.
There are souvenir shops and mini markets to get the daily essentials. The hotel itself is on a busy street filled with restaurants, shops, pharmacies, currency exchange offices, barbershops… etc.
You can access transportation to any destination the minute you step out through the endless drivers outside. You can also use Careem.
Staff:
The people are what makes this hotel extra special. From the security guards everywhere, being kind and helpful, to the ladies & gents at the front desk greeting with a smile and answering every request with “Ab’sher”, to the cleaning crew, most notably brother Mohammed Taj Al Islam, to the chef...
Read moreThis was by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, and I would not return even if the stay was offered for free. From the beginning, the service was unacceptable. The receptionist (a woman with a hijab and piercing) was extremely rude when I asked about the cot that had been promised for my child. Instead of providing a solution, she told me—without any politeness and with a dirty look—that I would have to co-sleep with my 10-month-old daughter. I found this both unprofessional and deeply disappointing. The problems didn’t stop there. The room itself was in terrible condition: The toilet was broken, constantly flushing by itself, and making loud noises that woke us up during the night. The corridors had a terrible smell. The lifts were unreliable. With nearly 20 floors of guests, only one lift was working at times, which made getting around extremely difficult. Housekeeping was another huge issue. In the 5 days we stayed, our room was cleaned only once. We had to take out our own rubbish, repeatedly request new bedsheets, and never actually received any replacements. In such a hot climate, not having fresh bedsheets daily is unacceptable for any hotel. Overall, the lack of basic cleanliness, the broken facilities, and the rude service made this hotel an awful experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to...
Read moreThe hotel is not so close to Kaaba as it is said. It is located across two main roads and pilgrims have to pay attention when crossing the roads. Under the bridge you can not even walk because of shoppers and salesmen/ women who lay their goods on the floor and consider it their own territory. The pavements are not clean ( hair coming out of two saloons in addition to pigeons' food/ the crowds' spit. On the back side you find a line of smelly garbage bins. The rooms are tiny and the cleaning service does not meat the standards of any hotel in the area. You only get a skin rush when you leave . Breakfast is the total opposite of varied. It usually consists of 4 bowls of cucumber, mint, sliced tomatoes, olives Eggs ( blue and smelly when you crack them open) Mashed potatoes is row and burnt. Pastery and croissant types look like croissant but taste something else. Fruit salad is sticky and tastes sour. The staff can drink tea and argue in front of residents... I don't recommend it to anyone who can read my review. By the way, don't be surprised if you don't find a reception on the first floor. You only find shops and shoppers...
