I booked yesterday around 6pm a none-smooking room then arrived 10 minutes later at the hotel.
Just for your information, the reception people are a bunch of unprofessional, I came in...untidy lobby, AC not working well, sad atmosphere. no one greeted or welcomed me....a woman with red-eye makeup demanding roughly: your passport! after a while...oh no, my computer does not work, go to her :(( another very young colleague.
They gave me a smoking room without informing me. Then they have informed that they have no other rooms available. Instead they let me wait in the lobby "pretending" that they need time to clean an available room for none-smokers. Then they came back and offered me a room for people with disabilities where people at the swimming pool directly looking into the room if you open the curtains.
As the room was also smelling bad due to none-usage for long time and the hotel was not offering another room, I asked them to cancel the booking. The receptionist agreed and asked me to send the request via booking.com.
I additionally called the number of the duty manager, after explaining the situation, he informed me that he will check how to accept the cancellation on booking.com.
3,5 hours After I left the hotel, the guy who pretended to be the duty manger during my call informed me that his name is Ali and he is not the duty manager Mohammed but the sales manager. He started to explain that the booking is none-refundable and he cannot cancel free of charge etc. although they did not have any room available.
Any respectful accommodation would cancel the booking in my case otherwise they have to find for me another hotel with the same standard and pay the difference. Yet, this guy Ali chosen to be extra smart to keep the money not knowing that his bad decisions is worst than mine to choose this filthy "wish-to-be-called-hotel". Being Genius3 AND Accor member did not play any role to be cheated on by a beginner bunch of people who still think that they can be offering guest services although he no ability to think or to even to "guess" how a guest should be treated....
Read moreHotels usually market themselves with comfy beds and people enjoying their dreamy nights, but guess what? You will never feel this here. Here I list all the issues:
NOISE: I stayed with my friends in the two-bedroom apartment for three nights, and none of us had enough sleep!!! The people in the apartment above us were so noisy, dragging chairs - slamming doors - screaming and laughing loudly, and the walls are thin like papers. We called the front desk, the room service, and all other available extensions, but all was busy, until the bell desk guy told us around 3:30 AM to call number 7, which wasn’t listed anywhere. Did that solve the issue? No, either the hotel didn’t deliver the proper message to the noisy apartment, or they just ignored our complaints. All we know is that we stayed up till 6:00 AM every night!!!
Another incident happened in our next night around 12:00 AM, a man was screaming in the hallway due to the front desk and room service carelessness. They kept negotiating with him in front of our door!!!!! Why the heck we are the ones suffering from a staff lacking the basics in handling their guests?
Parking: the hotel’s underground barking is open to anyone, so if you come at night, forget to find a spot!! The residences around the hotel prohibit anyone from parking, so you either come early or prepare yourself for a long walk, hopefully it won’t be raining at that time since we got dipped so badly.
I would never recommend it to anyone, just a waste of...
Read more++ New Review ++ I am changing the star rating as I have recently faced the unprofessional & impolite behaviour from the room service (night shift) / 29.10.2024 - around 8 pm by Mr. Aushan who first of all had no sense of talking as he seems to be the superior one above everyone. When asked his name, he lie on it whilst trying to hide his identity and says a different name. Secondly, when requested for the water bottles at the reception, he questions the guest about how much water you have, how much you had in the morning, was your room cleaned in the morning, etc. etc.
Questioning on such pity thing like water which is a basic need of humans is what I am ashamed of this staff of the hotel. And even denying the water to a lady in the hotel for her 2 year old son is something which the hotel management needs to think about on the extremely serious note.
This behaviour & approach is highly unacceptable and I shall raise it to the highest authority of the management and government so that no one else would face such humiliation by such staff of the renowned hotel.
++ Previous Review ++ I have been staying in Adagio since 3 months and it has been a very pleasant stay till date.
I have been very happy with the services provided by Adagio, especially room service. I am being provided the daily room cleaning service by Mr. Sarful who is very helpful and understanding. His behaviour is good and I hope I keep on receiving the services in a similar way.
Thank you...
