Meral Oasis Resort Taif — Hotel in Makkah Region

We stayed at villa# 26.||There were certain problems at this villa hotel:||1- There was no option of in-house food order.||2- Not all the items were available that were mentioned in our booking, e.g., hairdryer (blower), WiFi, etc. ||3- TV was not setup to show a single satellite channel. It was disappointing.||4- The WiFi router was connected at a location from where you can't get signals in the bedroom. Very pathetic location of WiFi. I had to use my mobile data this whole time.||5- The drainage of the shower beside the pool was blocked. It was a sure nuisance.||6- The distribution of facilities in the villa is really bad, e.g., our bedroom was in the basement, however, the furnished kitchen was on the above floor. Similarly, the bathroom amenities were not present in all the bathrooms.||7- The club car boy was not helpful who came in the morning at the time of our check out. He was too sleepy that he didn't even bother to help us in getting out stuff in the car.||So be careful for what you're expecting from your visit.||||A good point was that the location was near to commercially available food restaurants. This resort basically has 32 villas including some premium villa which has an extra play area. All villas are exactly the same. Basically these villas have a basement which consist of the indoor kids swimming pool (80cm deep), a big indoor sit out with patio furniture, a common bathroom as well as a bedroom with king size bed overlooking the pool which is quite nice. The ground floor consist of a big living room with glass windows through which you can see the swimming pool in the basement along with a shared toilet and a small kitchen area. First floor of the villa has a small balcony with a sit out, a master bedroom with king size bed and an attached bath, two bedrooms (twin beds) with a shared toilet and kitchen area. Also there is a small servant\helper room in the 2nd floor with a bathroom. You have the option of booking one, two, three or all four bedrooms it will be the same villa, they would just lock the other rooms if you have not booked all four rooms. First of all, this place is a bit far from Taif & Al Hada mountains. It's actually in the plains and is exactly 24 kms away from the Al Hada mountain peak (Taif Teleferic). Now that I have set your expectations right, the resort is very well maintained and beautiful. There are over 30 Villas and every individual villa has a private (indoor) heated swimming pool and a personal Sauna. The rooms are tastefully done and well maintained. ||The resort doesn't serve any meals but they have a very nice Kitchen (with all the equipments in place) so you must carry basic food items including oil, butter, eggs, breads etc to make your own breakfast, meals etc. In case you dont feel that adventurous and want to eat outside, there are decent number of options in the city like Little Caesars etc (Italian), Bukhari etc. ||Even though the resort takes credit card, there was a slight resistance to it so to be on the safe side carry some decent amount of cash. ||The resort has a huge playing area in the mid and is perfectly apt & safe for the kids.
