PRIMOTEL Elite As Salamah — Hotel in Makkah Region

They have a lovely rooftop with a swimming pool and terrace, perfect for a bit of me time as it is quite most of the time.

The receptionist (fully veiled and the Egyptian man) and the concierge are quite pleasant. It's also about 15 mins from the new airport for international flights and the Haramain train terminal.

I had originally enquired re: late checkout and was told it would be charged at 15sar per hour (this was the response from the fully veiled lady I usually dealt with), and the night before my flight I enquired again and let them know that I will confirm the checkout details once I had been able to check-in, and was told that was fine. On the day, there was another lady receptionist I didn't usually deal with, as she ignores you if you can't speak Arabic (it happened twice, so I just avoided her and waited for the others to be available), she told me I couldn't complete a late checkout as they were fully booked, and she was quite dramatic about it, which caused me to be really stressed. I needed to go on a quick errand and when I came back, she said it was fine there wasn't a booking but it would be 25sar per hour instead. I think that's a bit cheeky as she changed the price and confirmed there was no rush as there weren't any bookings after mine. I agreed to it as at this point / really needed to get ready for my flight.

Just an FYI re: late checkout fees.

Update: I've now completed a second stay at the hotel and I am very happy with their service, the facilities, and the cleanliness!

I even met with the veiled receptionist I mentioned earlier and she was so welcoming and extremely pleasant.

I would definitely rebook here when...

Hotel strategis dengan fasilitas yang cukup memadai di pusat kota

Kami menginap selama 2 malam di hotel Primotel ini dan cukup terkesima dengan fasilitas dihotel ini. Dimulai dari bagian lobby yang cantik, kamar tidur yang nyaman dan bersih, dan terdapat pula kolam renang, cafe dan tempat bermain anak. ✓ Kolam renang, ukuran nya tidak terlalu luas, tetapi cukup baik untuk anak kecil dan dewasa ✓ Cafe didalam hotel dan tempat bermain anak, hanya buka sesuai permintaan tamu ✓ Kulkas mini dan AC berjalan dengan baik ✓ Banyak cafe dan tempat makan disekitar hotel ✓ Masjid sangat dekat lokasinya dari hotel

Beberapa hal yang mungkin perlu diperhatikan:

Baterai remot tv mohon dicek selalu untuk tamu berikut nya, apakah masih berfungsi dengan baik atau tidak.

Di awal malam menginap, kami mendengar suara musik yang cukup keras, saya kurang yakin apakah itu berasal dari dalam cafe hotel atau kamar tamu, tapi suara musik nya cukup mengganggu tidur kami. Semoga kedepan nya bisa lebih baik dalam memberikan pelayanan dan kenyamanan untuk tamu.

Dari segi fasilitas, saya rasa sudah bagus, tetapi dari segi pelayanan semoga lebih baik kedepan nya, terutama bagian housekeeping, kami meminta handuk dan sampai kami keluar hotel, kami tidak mendapatkan 1 helai handuk pun dari hotel ini. Saya sarankan bagi siapa saja yang mau menginap dihotel ini untuk membawa handuk dari rumah masing-masing. Selebihnya dari segi fasilitas sudah bagus.

I don't recommend it at all. I spent 1 night in this hotel with my husband and my 7 months old baby. First the smell of the room was too much cigarette and when we told the reception about it they said they can't force the guests not to smoke. Then when i went to sleep the bed sheets are dirty and we found food inside the bed. Their is no soap and shampoo enough for 2 person. Of course we will not come back...
