Flying into Yanbu at around 9pm, and I got a text from the hotel wanting to know whether I will be showing up. It was sent an hour or so ago as I was flying in. I answered yes. When I got there, I was told that my room was sold to someone else. So instead, they provided me a different room...more like 2 rooms - a bedroom and a living room, with 2 bathrooms. I was fine with that, except it got some issues with toilet tank couldn't stop running water and the shower drained slowly. Reported to them the next morning, and they fixed them quickly. Also, I didn't get any hot water (I forgot to tell them as the cool water was fine on this warm weather). The restaurant wasn't running, so I would call them in the morning and they will bring breakfast. It's a very basic, local breakfast with beans, hummus, bread, egg, veggies, and a bottle of water. There is no room cleaning during the 3 night stay, which didn't bother me that much. Although this is a non smoking hotel, I did smell cigarettes occasionally. There were only two hangers in the closer when I arrived and I had to request for more. The bed is comfortable. There is a gym on the top floor, but it only has a few equipment.||It's walking distance to the old town. There are parking in the front. Read moreRetaj is a very clean hotel. The rooms kind of look and feel like some higher end hotels that I’ve stayed at. Just a very decent place.
The receptionist was very helpful and the other staff were also very attentive to our needs.
There were absolutely no problems with our accommodation. Even the bathrooms were clean and functional with lots of towels. The towels could be changed, but they were, nonetheless, clean. The ACs worked and there was a decent mini fridge in the room.
The location is close to a historical area which was convenient for sight seeing. It’s about a 10 minute, straight shot from the beach
