Was greeted by a friendly person who made me feel welcome. Because of Ramadan, some usual food services would be limited, which was to be expected.
One of the employees I must recognize is Omar. He was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of his way several times to assist me. First, by coming to my room to assist with the internet (I did not have the issue again after he contacted tech support for the hotel). Next is when I bought quite a few things from the market shop they have and since he couldn't readily find a bag for me he insisted he have room service bring it up to me (he didn't need to do that but was appreciated). He also made sure my room always had extra water, tea, and sugar as I consumed much tea in the evenings. I was blessed to have Omar helping me throughout my stay.
I understand that during Ramadan, food services are constrained. I wish I could have ordered room service. The menu looked wonderful. However, if you were not early to dinner (which was understandably busy), it felt like you were picking through other people's leftovers to find food as nothing seemed to be replaced and they struggled to keep it clean. Management of the restaurant was a little poor, but the staff was trying very hard to assist as needed. But without food, it's hard to add to the service. After I few days, I found it difficult to have an appetite to eat in the evenings. If you do not have a Saudi phone number, you can not use their local food delivery app. I opted to use Careem to drive to dinner locations.
Breakfast, however, was more pleasant. Chef Naved and Arbin were very attentive and tried to find ways to provide breakfast a little better than the norm as it was limited.
It is a beautiful hotel, the rooms were very nice. The water was hot, shower pressure was a little low, and even though I saw some people complain about the noise of the AC, the fan speed can be controlled. I opted to keep the fan high as I love to sleep with the noise, and it was perfect for me. The AC did struggle a bit to maintain a constant temperature in the room, and I found myself kicking off the covers and covering up many times in the night.
The hotel is not really close to anything that's within a reasonable walking distance for me. The Swiss In Tabuk is probably the best for that, but nothing was open during daylight hours anyway.
Oh, I saw where people had mentioned a smoke smell since they do have smoking rooms here. I was on a non-smoking floor and smelled nothing. I'm a bit hypersensitive to that smell and only smelled it on some employees (after dark, of course).
I would love to come back and stay at this hotel. I'm sure most of my very small issues will not be a problem after Ramadan, and even still the comfort and hospitality I experienced were excellent. Thank you for having me at this...
Read moreHilton Garden Inn Tabuk is the ideal place to stay in Tabuk. Travel to the hotel from the airport is easy and free of downtown congestion. Your reception at the front desk is superior to hotels found anywhere in the industry. They take action upon request immediately and report back to ensure your satisfaction with the service provided. Amal has been outstanding on every visit. She is completely knowledgeable of hotel management and would excel in higher echelons of hotel management and any industry requiring superior intellect and interpersonal skills. She represents the Hilton chain as seen throughout the world.
The hotel has a restaurant staff that aims to please. They take their jobs seriously. On every visit, I have been asked if I need anything or how was your meal. All meals consumed have been well prepared and presented professionally in the restaurant and or room service. The health concious individual would find the breakfast offerings very acceptable to their dietary requirements.
The laundry has been top quality and punctual on the two occasions I have used them.
Housekeeping does a great job. The rooms are cleaned. Towels and consumables are restocked daily. The employees are most helpful. Tea and coffee is available in the room along with 2 bottles of water daily.
Hotel security and luggage porters are alert and helpful. They provide your first introduction to a top quality hotel. The security station is outfitted to the same level I have experienced throughout Europe and North America.
The Hilton garden Inn Tabuk is my first choice. I have stayed their with and without family members and have not been disappointed. I highly recommend this hotel for business...
Read moreI genuinely cannot fault this place. We stayed for 5 nights for business. I had never visited here before but I will absolutely stay here again. Clean, tidy, very well staffed and a great dining facility. It’s really close to the airport and easy to get into town. ||All the staff speak great English (some better than me!) and there is a well stocked refreshments shop in the lobby. ||Of particular note are the staff. From the front desk who greeted us with a smile and a handshake everytime we came in after work, to the cleaning staff who were on hand like lightening for any request, to the absolutely OUTSTANDING staff in the dining facility. This place really is first class when it comes to staff selection - well done Hilton, well done. ||Special mentions must go to Abdullah, a waiter who genuinely felt more like a family member by the end of the visit than a member of staff - he went above and beyond every day and made it his mission to come and chat to us which made us feel like his centre of attention which made us feel really welcome and as if this place was a home away from home. And Naved, the chef, who not only prepared the most wonderful food (including personalised omelettes at breakfast) but took the time to leave his kitchen and speak to guests in the same way Michelin starred chefs do at signature restaurants - a really class act, bravo. ||All-in-all, this place has really impressed me (I travel all over). I will absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone and everyone who might want to visit Tabouk (which is a great place with some of the most amazing restaurants). ||I will be back....
