Unacceptable Behavior – A Deeply Unprofessional and Offensive Experience
I had a reservation at this Turkish restaurant, and what was supposed to be an enjoyable outing turned into a deeply disappointing and frankly offensive experience. Upon being seated, I reviewed the menu and ordered only a fresh juice (SAR 45) and bottled water (SAR 9). As someone who does not eat red meat or seafood – only chicken – and finding only one chicken option on the entire menu, I chose not to order food.
What happened next was shocking. A man who appeared to be Turkish – possibly the manager – approached our table in a visibly hostile and aggressive manner. He was clearly upset that I had only ordered drinks and had the audacity to say things like: “Why would you come in just to order water and juice?” and “If you’re not going to order food, you shouldn’t come at all.” This level of rudeness and unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable, especially from someone representing the establishment.
Let me be crystal clear: You do NOT speak to customers this way. If your restaurant has a minimum order policy, then it is your responsibility to communicate it clearly – not lash out at guests who came in with a reservation and ordered from your menu in good faith.
I made a reservation because I expected the restaurant to be busy, not because I was trying to avoid an entrance fee – which, by the way, does not apply to NEOM employees who have official access. To be questioned about why I made a reservation, and then to be made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed over a simple order, is beyond insulting.
If this restaurant cannot show basic courtesy to guests, and if the staff – especially management – believe it’s acceptable to berate customers for their food choices, then you have no business operating in the hospitality industry. You’ve lost a potential repeat customer, and I will make sure others are aware of how poorly this place treats its visitors.
First visit, last visit. Absolutely disgraceful.
Lastly, I intended to leave this review directly on the restaurant’s Google Maps page, but surprisingly it doesn’t even exist. I only found the listing for Lazurde Resort, which hosts this restaurant. If the restaurant wants to avoid further negative experiences like mine, maybe start by making yourselves visible – and more importantly –...
Read moreDining at this beach buffet restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the breathtaking view—an unbeatable location right on the beach with the sound of waves gently lapping in the background. The ambiance perfectly blends luxury with relaxation, offering a serene yet vibrant atmosphere for diners.
The buffet itself was a true feast for the senses. The variety of dishes was impressive, catering to all tastes with an expansive selection of international and local cuisines. Fresh seafood, including grilled fish, shrimp, and oysters, was a standout, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The carving station, featuring succulent roasts and perfectly seared steaks, was equally impressive.
For those who enjoy a lighter meal, there was a fantastic selection of fresh salads, sushi, and an array of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, all beautifully presented. The dessert station was nothing short of indulgent, with a variety of cakes, pastries, and exotic fruits, as well as a live crepe and ice cream station that was a hit with both kids and adults alike.
The quality of the food was outstanding, with every dish tasting fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. Despite the vast variety, each item felt like it had been crafted with attention to detail, which is rare for buffet-style dining.
Service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was attentive and professional, regularly checking on us and ensuring that the buffet stations were constantly replenished. Plates were cleared promptly, and we never had to wait long for a fresh drink. The team also made great recommendations and accommodated special requests with a smile.
Overall, the combination of stunning views, an extensive and high-quality buffet, and impeccable service made this beach restaurant a standout. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal with family or friends, this place offers an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for five-star...
Read moreVery very dissapointed and I agree with other reviews. It's NEOM that keeps this complex operational. If it wasn't for NEOM and the level of service i have seen was offered, it would not be here now. £500 per night for half board ( no choice it must be half board)! The hotel is,supposed to be a beach resort and a positive is the lovely views. I am three nights into a,32 night stay. My room is a 'premium' room in what is described as a Cave Room. It is 5 x steps x 5 steps. The hotel guidebook states they infer a complimentary show shine service and even leave a basket to put ones shies in, but no they don't! I asked for a OJ at breakfast, if I pay for it as its not included in the buffet! I asked for a cappuccino but alas no. OK so I will make a coffee in my room but three days on I am still trying to get some creamer or milk (no shop on the 'complex' or in the region). I see the hotel are ripping the guts out of companies financially, making reservations here so expensive, their strategy is clearly take as much money as they can before the hotel ultimately will be closed down when stronger and more modern...
