STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST - deplorable customer service from boss and all staff. Terrible experience summarized as follows: day 1 we consumed drinks and food at the bar in the beach and paid for them at the end of the day. During the next two days we were told we could pay when we would check out of the hotel. When we did the check out they wanted to charge us for what we had consumed (and already paid) the first day, insisting we hadn't paid. Staff was extremely rude. We called the boss thinking it would help. It didn't. When my partner came to intervene in the discussion he spoke to her in a condescending tone telling her to leave, claiming this was a "discussion among men". When we went to do the check out, not only was the bill still reflecting the charges of the first day, but the charges for the breakfast (very basic and expensive for what it is) were: 3000 x 2 = 12.000 (to be fair: this was corrected). there was no hot shower. The rooms were never cleaned during the 4 days of our stay, and we lacked basic things such as toilette paper and soap. we had dinner at the bar in the beach during our second day. We ordered our food at 20rs. At 22hrs we asked the status of our order. They had forgotten it. There were only 2 other people sitting there. the treatment we received was deplorable from day 1. Both the boss and the staff don't care to treat you properly as they believe they will still have customers regardless. on a plus note: before the discussion concerning the prices, the owner allowed us to do the check out at 14hrs, 2 hours after the stipulated time, for free. However, this was among the first things he mentioned when we had called him expecting him to solve the "missunderstanding" with his staff. The location is indeed nice, in front of the beach, despite being slightly away from the centre of Cap Skirring. But then again...so are all the other hotels in the region. Therefore, if you took the time to read this, simply make a pass on this place and save yourself some...
Read moreI liked everything. I booked for two nights, ended up staying four nights. It was just the place I needed to recharge batteries after two weeks of tough traveling in Guinea Bissau: reliable and fast Wi-Fi although it won't reach some of the huts. Fair prices at the bar restaurant and tasty food. Wonderful atmosphere with lots of joy and positive vibes coming from the staff and passing Senegalese. Owner is friendly, speaks good English and he's always there to help and fix problems. The location in unbeatable, right on the beach, less than 2 km from the village where you will find anything you might need. Simple but tasty breakfast, optional, for a good price. I loved my hut: simple but pleasant. So I was very happy here. Ideal place to rest...
