After a disappointing experience at another hotel, where my wife and daughter were told they couldn’t sit at a table for four, we made the decision to leave and came to Hibiscus Hotel — and it turned out to be the best choice we made on our trip.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Boubacar Sagnan, who immediately made us feel at ease. He found us a room right away and, noticing we had been travelling all day, encouraged us to head to the restaurant so our daughter could eat and rest. That gesture alone already showed a level of care that was missing from our previous stay.

I truly can’t praise Boubacar and all the restaurant and hotel staff enough. Our daughter wasn’t feeling well from the long journey, and everyone around us was ready to help. They even called a doctor to make sure she was okay, which gave us so much reassurance. What touched us deeply was that every day after, the staff would check in and ask how she was doing — it felt like they genuinely cared.

The hotel itself is beautiful — clean, stylish, and welcoming. The rooms are not only spotless but thoughtfully decorated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the overall atmosphere was calm and inviting. But above all, it’s the kindness and compassion of the staff that made our stay so memorable.

Even though our daughter was unwell for part of the trip, the team at Hibiscus made sure we were supported and comfortable. Their warmth turned what could have been a stressful experience into a holiday we’ll always remember — for all the right reasons.

Without a doubt, we’ll be...

😊: Amazing location, very nice pool, beautiful beach. Good AC. Comfy bed. Staff are friendly.. 😢: Not the experience you expect at this price point: we arranged a taxi through the hotel for an airport pick up. Upon arrival, there was no taxi for us. Called the hotel and the driver, he had not even left. Had to wait another 40 minutes for the driver to show up. the rooms look quite different than the photos of the rooms on booking. Our room was in a building with little soundproofing. breakfast isn't very good. If you're not there early, there's hardly any food left. They do bring out more eventually but it'll take another hour for that to happen. Yoghurt and meat sitting in the sun, also not great. many items on the menu not available. No effort to do anything about that. The bar tried to sell me a gin&sprite because they were out of tonic.. I got food poisoning here and I only ate in the hotel's...

I stayed in this hotel twice. Property is in a very clean beach and nice to stay with family. The staff is friendly and speak French, but you won’t find it challenging to communicate even if you don’t know their language ☺️ Cottage style rooms are spacious, comes with a nice sit out good view of the garden, glass doors and decent wifi. Bathrooms are good with hot water, fair supplies but no bathtubs. Selective items on the menu and good wine collection to offer. There are some downsides as well. The room service is chargeable, no phones in the room to contact restaurant, reception etc. approach road to the hotel is not good which might be a challenge in rainy season. Overall it’s a nice hotel to stay and have a relaxing time at the beach.

Les Hibiscus has high quality standards, extremely comfortable and beautiful rooms (but with some fall from grace if we are talking about bathrooms), a great pool and an easy access to the beach. Breakfast is nothing special and needs a little bit of improvement, but then again the restaurant service is very good, with a large selection of dishes (even vegetarian ones) and drinks. The flagship of this hotel is absolutely the staff: everyone is really competent, careful and well focused on the client. At the time of this review they are finishing a renovation plan of some parts of the hotel, so is easy to understand that Hibiscus will probably reach a 5-star rating real soon.
