Isabelle and Didier designed and built this wonderfully positioned small Guest House right beside the ocean. Isabelle and Didier are the most marvellously helpful and thoughtful hosts. There helpfulness starts from the momement you first contact them and every query, however trivial, is answered. They both love the area and want you to feel the same warm. Didier is happy to arrange trips to the desert or just take you to see the local area.||The rooms are beautiful planned each with a well planned bathroom and lovely little touches such as pictures and ornaments dotted around. The lovely staff, lead by Isabelle, prepare exactly the type of meal that you like. Isabelle has made certain that she knows and understands the type, and quantity, of food you like. It seemed as if no request was too large or difficult.||The view of the ocean is fantastic but it can be dangerous water to swim in and both the ocean and beach do have a fair amount of litter and rubbish which is a shame. The beach provides a wonderful walk and is a haven for wildlife, both animal and bird. It doesn't matter that the ocean isn't the best area because Didier looks after the swimming pool amazingly well and this is surrounded by comfortable sunbeds and there is a large shaded area at one end.||We highly recommended Niokobokk it is a wonderful place to relax and top up one's suntan yet it is only a short taxi ride from St Louis. My husband spent a very long time trying to find a nice spot for our break. We got there and everything seemed ok, we had lunch and went into St. Louis town where we spent the day and had dinner. When we got back, we went straight to bed and guess what happened........ the bed broke right where my head was! Cos it was late, we decided not to wake the household but put the mattress on the floor and slept on the floor. Next morning, we get harassed for not telling them the bed broke, got accused of breaking bed and the hostess insisted that the bed couldn’t have just broken and she would charge us for the bed. Not until I pointed out to her that she should be apologising that my head could have been injured did she back down. She barely apologised for her behaviour and when we decided to leave early because of her bad behaviour, she still didn’t try to apologise or make amends. The scene is serene but the furniture is old and needs changing. From a safety point, I wouldn’t advise anyone to sleep on the bed in the Wollof room as they may not be so lucky and may actually get a...

Isabelle and her family and staff are fantastic. It felt like I was visiting my fabulous friends on the Senegalese coast, without feeling like I was intruding or being intruded on.||||It is the perfect place to really, really get away from it all. Pool and loungers are fantastic. Beach isn't perfect, but a lovely walk to see birdlife and take in some sun.||||Isabelle took such care of us, made sure we ate what we liked (and in Senegal, I'm basically a pescatarian, it's ridiculous to eat anything else with so much gorgeous seafood), and we had a wonderful time chatting over dinner.
