Hanging out with Chris & Tali at Fathala Reserve 🇸🇳 Was I initially scared? 💯 😆 Did that stop me, NO🙃 My good sis @talesandturbans inspired this. FYI: -This was in Toubakouta, Senegal 🇸🇳 (4hrs drive from Dakar, I was already in the area) -I booked this via my hotel @paletuviers -The Lions Walk cost about $65 & it included private transportation to & from my hotel. -The lions Chris & Tali (a couple) have always lived in this sanctuary. -They do not hunt for food hence why they’re not aggressive. -The staff I am holding is as a sign of respect to the Lions. -This was a group excursion & my actual close encounter with the lions lasted under 10 mins. -The animals are fed every 4 days, they were fed the day before. -Safety rules were carefully explained to everyone before hand. -The forest rangers captured this videos. I got a lot of mixed messages when I shared in stories but I have come realize, that people generally project a lot of their feelings (good/bad) towards you & that should never discourage you from whatever it is you want to do, IMHO. #titispassiontravels #senegal #wildlife #travelexperience #thisisafrica
