Hotel La Taouey — Hotel in Richard-Toll

We stayed at Hotel Taouey for a week after our car broke down in Richard-Toll. The hotel is right ion the Senegal River and an easy 2 minute walk to the main street that goes through town. It's clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful, and it's one of the few options suitable for tourists in this town. Our room was huge (can't remember the number, but it was the first door on the left as you walk down the hallway) and had good air conditioning. Unfortunately the mattress was awful, but we used the pillows to put underneath it to make it more comfortable. The bathroom was also huge and clean, although the shower didn't work well & I ended up having to bathe sitting in the tub. There is a very pleasant outdoor dining area ad well as some seating in a small garden, and meals were very good. There's also a small bar, and they had wifi. Pessima esperienza in questo hotel a Richard Toll. Partiamo con il dire che tutto l’hotel è pervaso da una puzza di fumo indescrivibile: non siamo i classici con la puzza sotto il naso, bensì siamo da poco ex fumatori, ma l’odore di fumo è veramente stomachevole. La stanza è buia, sporca e maleodorante. La colazione è a dir poco ridicola, se non assente. Inoltre non appena siamo entrati in sala colazioni, dopo la notte passata tra le mille zanzare, abbiamo ricevuto il buongiorno dal portiere di notte che alle nove del mattino stava ancora dormendo a terra, buttato come uno straccio tra i tavoli su cui erano poggiate le baguette e le tazze per il the/caffè....

Nous avons déjeuner à l'hotel La Taouey, l'assiette est très copieuse , la cuisine est bonne et la note finale n'est pas du tout salée donc excellent rapport qualité /prix.|Nous avons été très bien accueilli par M.
