Either of these will get you over the tiredness that travelling here will invariable induce...||The hotel is not much of an architectural gem, but it is simple and functional. But what's more important: everything works: airco, pool, bathroom etc. are clean and in good working order. Located on the outskirts of Tambacoumba just off the main road the Relais is part of the Horizons Bleu chain. The rooms are arranged around a courtyard with a small well maintained pool in the middle. A large room with 3 single beds, aircon, a well equipped modern bathroom only lacked a comfortable chair, but you could find one by the pool. Free wifi was better than a Hilton. The room is basic and clean.||A well stocked bar and restaurant with typical French/African menu. Le Relais has become what we look forward to on our long drive through Senegal. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and excellent air conditioners. The pool is always clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is excellent (dinner starts at 7pm which is typical of Senegal) and the owner, Raymond is helpful, kind and speaks English.
