Definitely my worst experience with a hotel up to this date (for a particular price range)
Let me first tell you good things about the hotel. The main hall looks great. It has some cool big paintings and looks modern and clean. The receptionist seems to know what they are doing. That's it. The room (while probably being good at the time when the hotel was built), completely lost any sense of "coziness". The bed covers are covered in a lot of dirt (probably a mixture of lint and floor dirt but it looks awful). Very uninviting to lay in such a bed. The bed sheets looked clean but the mood was ruined. The window was smeared with some sort of white liquid that dried out. The view to the back of the hotel was nothing to write home about but this completely ruined whatever little value it could provide. The windowsill was cracking with lots of pieces just laying there (I personally doubt that they cracked just before we moved in). The bathroom looks like it came straight from Soviet era. But itself it wouldn't be too bad but there were cobwebs all around the ceiling. The bathtub was cramped but I guess it was indeed a bathtub which is a rarity in Serbia. But there is no way I would have actually taken a bath in it. It didn't look too sanitary to do that. The room had exactly 0 unoccupied electrical sockets. The desk in the room (where I am currently writing this review at) has only one socket next to it and it's occupied by the fridge. I had to unplug TV from its socket to charge the laptop (that socket was hard to get to so I had to move bed to get to it. Also they look like they can fall out of the wall at any moment The fridge is located inside of the desk so the desk is constantly shaking. I don't know if it ever shuts down but I don't think it ever did during the times I was in the room. As a result anything you put in there would freeze solid. The description on Booking promised an electrical kettle. But not only there is no kettle here, even if it was here - there wouldn't be any socket to plug it into. There is no trash bin in the room. Yes, they didn't even provided THAT. The hotel has a WiFi but the room didn't have a password and nobody provided it (later it turned out there were out of papers with the password but nobody told us anyway). To be honest, with the way other things are managed here - I wouldn't be safe connecting to it anyway. Nobody knows what kind of malware would be autodownloaded from the simple act of connecting (yes, routers can spread viruses too). The beds looked like they were here for decades and in desperate need of replacement (since the frames are made out of chipboard and fall apart over time). The mattress became too soft over the years of use - I generally don't complain about back pains (unless I fall asleep at uncomfortable pose). But my back definitely felt hurt after I woke up in this bed. The walls are dirty from (probably) shoe stains. Considering the amount of children that came here for some football camp or something - it is probably a regular thing and the stuff don't clean those. The breakfast was... Ok-ish. It definitely wasn't anything to praise but also not much to complain about.
And ALL of that would have been understandable for a regular run-of-the-mill hotel. But it is not. It's a Zepter hotel that asks for 69 EUR per night per person. Looking at the prices for regular apartments in the area it's at least 2 times higher while providing significantly less value. Would not...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for two nights. At first, it seemed to be very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, while I was staying, I discovered loads of dust, and some chips underneath my bed, I also found a spider on the wall, that looked like it was there for a while, I wasn’t so happy with that, but it didn’t bother me. So it was 2nd night of my stay and I found live, huge cockroach in my bathroom. The plase is very expensive and the the standards are too poor. Oh, and let’s not forget about the fact that if you break or lose anything they will charge you 5 times more than the thing actually costs(for example if anything happens to your towel, they will charge you 2000rsd(20$) which would be okay if there wasn’t a store that was literally selling the same towels for around 400rsd(4$) and you can buy those everywhere). I personaly think that the location is good and you should definitely visit here, but not for overnight. I hope I’ll help...
