I stayed one night at Hotel Fortuna, Staff was quick to answer my request on Airport pick up, I arrived late night at 23:00 hours, It took us almost 35-40 mins from the Airport, for the price 20€ .||||The Hotel Receptionist requested to hold the passport overnight, It raised eyebrows as I never have been asked before, I smiled and refused "Sorry its Indian Government Property, I can see behind receptionist chair plenty of passports lying unsecured. Read moreI stayed at this hotel while on a 24 layover in Belgrade. It was out of town with nothing around it and I ended up fighting being ripped off by a taxi driver that tried to charge me more than triple. The staff were some of the nicest I ever dealt with at a hotel. After check in, they immediately carried my luggage to the room themselves even after I said I don't mind lugging it up the stairs myself (there is no elevator). A different receptionist in the morning loaded my suitcase into the cab herself. The restaurant was closed and there are no places to eat nearby. The receptionist said I could take a cab into the city but also provided me with delivery options from restaurants which I chose (my room didn't have the option of a minibar). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was very nicely decorated and the furniture looked fairly new. The room and bathroom were impeccable. The middle of nowhere location did have the advantage of being extremely quiet for a good night's rest. Wifi was available in the room and worked really well. There were a good few English language options on the tv as well. Over all, it was a much cleaner, well decorated and friendly hotel than I was expecting for $29 CAD a night. The only real downsides were the lack of onsite food and...
Read moreI chose to stay at this hotel, because all "airport" hotels seemed to be about 6km from the airport and this one had the best rate. I was quoted a 14 Euro price to get to the hotel by taxi. I asked the Airport Bus driver if he goes near the hotel and he said that he did. Not so !!. He let me off in the town and told me to take the #45 bus. Then, I had to take the #706 bus. A woman of the bus told me when to get off. I got off and had to cross the road and walk a long way to get the the bus stop. The hotel is located between both bus stops. It was pitch black out, with no lights what so ever nad very scary. I couldn't image a hotel in a more horrible location, with nothing nearby. The not too exciting town was about a 20 minute bus ride away.||The room was a good size and attractively furnished. There is no elevator the very wide, carpetted stair case didn't have a banister. No hand towel was provided. The light at the bed didn't, nor did the clock.||When I checked in at night, the man at the front desk kept my passport. When i couldn'tfind it, the next morning, I panicked for a moment I then realized what...
