I stayed for one night in single room nr 21 if I remember well. I was given a room for smokers although I am not a smoker and when I entered the room, besides the fact that it was extremely small, the smell of smoke was so intensive, like being in a huge ash-tray. It was impossible to sleep. I asked for another room but I was told that there was no other available.||So I tried to sleep with an open window all night and after a couple of hours the air in the room was less stinky.||I had stayed in the past at the same hotel two times and I didn't have the same experience these times.||A cost effective hotel solution, with very small single rooms and a bit bigger double rooms with too basic breakfast for international standards and feeling that it is a budget choice if you don't want to buy luxury accomodation.||||I strongly recommend the staff to ask before giving a smokers room to anyone and to consider the possibility to use higher beds when they decide to renovate the too small rooms with extremely small bathrooms.||Being too small is ok since it it a budget choice, but sleeping on a stinky bed and pillow as if they were filled with smoked cigarettes, it is something absolutely not acceptable which should concern anyone before going to this hotel and get smokers' room even...

With bathroom a bit tiny - but otherwise a value for paid money.||Quiet, good breakfast, near to the airport (Rented a car there, so it was the most closest||and convenient place). Location is an old Austro-Ungarian (after WWII Zemun was added to New Belgrade), but optimal for car travelling to Novi Sad, Zagreb and Ljubljana (so to nurture nostalgy for former Yugoslavia) - as the highway is near, though for one preferring the old route - it's also there. ||Staff is good (they don't mess around and you see them only when they are required). Service is nice, breakfast is OK. Bed was grand (and bedroom with a very...
Read moreBooked the day before arrival we stopped off at Hotel Lav, costing €20 in a taxi from the airport. The rooms are basic but thankfully have air conditioning but the room was still boiling at night. It's in a quiet location with not much else going on around it but great if like us you're only staying 1 night or passing through. A pretty simple breakfast selection including cereal, ham, cheese and yoghurt the usual. Could've done with some fruit after a long journey here but there was none offered!! All together an ok stay with...
