Hotel Orašac — Hotel in City of Belgrade

Classic sophisticated hotel that was once popular and great. Now it is a bit older. But the neighborhood is quiet. Very friendly receptionist who spoke good English. She was very helpful. We misplaced our passports and we were very stressed. She tried to help us until we found them. Thank you. Rooms were nice and spacious, but a bit older. The mattresses are not as form as before. The sofa bed sagged in and was uncomfortable. The bathroom has a bad moldy smell. The kitchen that was in the room was not operating (no stove or oven working). There were no plates cups or utensils. We were told we cannot use the kitchen in the room. But still it was a pleasant stay. Good communication before our arrival. We were only staying one night on a road trip. I stayed 2 times during 1 week and both were above average. Hotel is located at nice suburb of Begrade and quite close to new highway connection. You can go to city center in 15 minutes by bus no 53. Room was big clean and confortable. There is a nice restaurant at the hotel and open buffet breakfast was also great. Free parking available in front of the hotel. Staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. I left very early during my second stay before breakfast time and they prepared me a lunch box to take away.||Negative items: No lift exist and it is difficult to climb second floor with your luggage. It is also negative for disabled person. There is no openning window at 2. floor rooms and they say that they are smoking rooms ventilated by air conditioner however air conditioner has no ability to provide fresh...

I have stayed in this hotel several times. I have been satisfied so far. this time I was not satisfied. I got a room that smells very strongly of tobacco. of the two windows, one cannot be opened and the other is very high, so I can't open that one either. the lamp next to the bed doesn't work, the lamp on the table doesn't work and the less bright light in the bathroom doesn't work, so I was either in the dark or under the strongest light, which is like a spotlight at night. toilet paper was not brought two days in a row. there is supposedly a non-smoking section downstairs in the restaurant, but in fact it is fictitious because the door in between is always open and the whole restaurant smells of tobacco.
