My girlfriend and I stopped here on our trip to Greece because the motel was recommended to us as a good place to refresh and rest. The food was good and arrived quickly. As far that's concerned, no complaints whatsoever. However, the problem arose after we had eaten our food and started having our drinks while discussing what to have for dessert, when the waiter approached us and asked us to share our table with two men who had just arrived and whom we did not know at all. The table at which the two of us were sitting did have four chairs, but, realistically, all the tables had four or more chairs, and the guests who sat at some of them did not even have food ordered. There was even a table with four chairs where only one person was sitting just having water. When we objected and said that really wasn't right, i.e. that we would instead pay, leave and give up our table, the waiter said that he would find us another one, which then begs the question why he did not offer that other table to the two men in the first place. We refused and started to walk away, only to hear the waiter explaining with a slight giggle to the two men that he shouldn't do that because "the guests get angry". I turned to him and asked him why he was doing that if he already knew that, as he said, the guests get angry, only for him to very condescendingly try to "explain" to me that I misunderstood what he said, and that he would find us another table. At that point, we just left. I repeat, what other table would have been found for us that couldn't have been offered to the two complete strangers with whom we were supposed to share ours? All in all, the quality and ambiance are commendable, but because of the service, this was our first and last time at the "Predejane" motel. Some things just...
Read moreTime to head for home from Belgrade, but my flight left from Greece and we wanted to visit Makadlonia after several times transiting through... Well, it was a late start and we had kilometers to travel hoping to make it to Skopje or at least Vranje... No such luck and then there it was by the highway, a nice looking place beaconing us to stop, rest, eat and begin again in the morning.||||When we pulled-up to the parking lot, it was full of cars from all over Europe including caravans since this is also a camping spot. The music coming from their events center was loud and Serbian. This was was going to be good!||||We headed to the desk. They had room and the staff was on the ball. Best of all, it was cheap, just under 40.000RSD, including breakfast. We found our room and resets for a little before dinner. It was quiet and peaceful there. The rooms are about average size for Europe and clean. ||||There's a lot of nice stone work throughout and the place seemed fairly new and well maintained inside and out.||||Dinner was in their restaurant and quite good with Greek Salad and pasta. The pasta was ok but the salad was. ||||The only thing I could ding this place was the restrooms at the restaurant. They were a little wet and messy but probably since nobody was ready to clean them up after the all-night wedding upstairs.||||Breakfast was fine the next day and when checked out of our room and it was the same nice lady who checked us in. I really don't think she ever left the front desk the entire time...
Read moreWe've been taking a break at the restaurant for years now. Lately food and service quality deteriorated dramatically. This year we stopped twice, in June and now in September, both times we had very bad experience with food quality and have experienced stomach ache afterwards. My recocmmendation for anyone reading this review - do not eat minced meat, i.e. Cevapi or anything similar, they have more soya than meat and feel like they've been frozen and unfrozen a couple of times, also do not eat mashed potatoes and "ready" daily menu - it's not really daily and prepped that day. Waitresses you have to chase around and whenever you wave at them to come they give you "the look". Toilet maintenance is also worse than before, but at least soap dispensers are full. Overall, location of the place is great and nice spot to take a break during a trip, but from now on, we'll only be...
