Apel apartments — Hotel in City of Niš

We booked (and prepaid for) this hotel using expedia, but on arrival the hotel denied having an expedia account.||||When I opened my laptop to show the reservation, and also the bank transaction, he forcibly shut my laptop and called me a liar, and decided there were no longer any rooms available.||||At that point we left, and he became aggressive, harassing my girlfriend and following us down the steps. To top it off, he then followed us down the street in a car shouting "fck america" (I am not American, but I had explained that I had just spent 23 hours travelling from America).||||Luckily, we were able to find another hotel using booking.com (Regent Hotel) which went very smoothly.||||Apart from the crazy guy and the fact that your booking may not be honoured (in spite of rooms being available), other reasons to avoid this hotel include:||||1) the room we were shown was right next to reception, without privacy||2) the pool is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows, looking out to reception, again no privacy||3) the hotel is situated out of town in a dodgy looking area (not the kind of area you'd wish to be followed on a Saturday night by a crazy guy chanting...

We were cheated by the owner. We arrived and learnt the pool was not heated while we booked it based on the Booking description for a heated pool. We had to find another hotel after arriving from abroad with two little kids. The owner promised to refund us, however already 2 weeks later he does not reply to my messages and shuts down the phone when I call him. He even marked us as Cancelation due to no show so that we cannot leave a review on Booking for him. What a shameful behavior! I read a similar case 3 month before us but unfortunately I read it too late we lost 180 euro and gained a horrible experience. Stay away from this...

Clean, comfortable, all that you need place, 10 min walk from the city center, and lovely and helpful owner. Recommendation for this place is less than I can do.. enjoy it...
