MilBor Fruska Gora — Hotel in City of Novi Sad

Unfortunately, our stay didn’t meet expectations. The previous positive reviews were a bit misleading.

The house lacked small but important details for a comfortable stay. At the entrance, there was no place to hang outerwear, so we had to leave our things scattered around. In the bathroom, there were no towel hooks, no shelves for toiletries, and not even a proper holder for toilet paper — it kept falling on the floor or getting wet on the sink. Basic amenities like shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were not provided; only a half-used product left by previous guests was found. The towels were rough and unpleasant to use.

The bedsheets for the second floor were missing, even though it was stated that the house accommodates four guests. We had to sleep on a rough mattress protector.

Another serious issue was that the owner smoked inside the house while we were there, despite the listing clearly stating that smoking is prohibited. As a non-smoker, I found this extremely unpleasant. It felt less like a rental and more like visiting someone’s private home.

Additionally, the owner, who lives elsewhere, insists on personally managing check-ins. We were required to give an exact arrival time, and when we were running late, he called to ask when we would arrive. This created unnecessary stress during our trip, as we felt rushed rather than relaxed.

While some corners of the house are nicely decorated, the overall atmosphere was rather gloomy. The living room was cluttered with items like dry branches, pinecones, baskets of Christmas ornaments, old magazines, and artificial flowers — all of which collected dust.

We were also not allowed to use the fireplace and were not provided with firewood, which was disappointing given the chilly weather. Although the house has two air conditioners, they had to be used constantly to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Another important detail that was not mentioned in the listing is that all luggage must be carried up a flight of stairs from the parking area to the house. This would have been very difficult if traveling with a stroller or small children.

Нераздумывая отправляйтесь сюда отдыхать! Красивый и удобный дом, с современными кухней и санузлом, с красивой гостиной, с отдельной спальней для двоих и двуспальным местом на подвесном этаже в гостиной - выше всяких похвал! Дом стоит на горке, от парковки нужно подняться по ступенькам по склону с огромными елями. Двор небольшой, но удобный для любования видами на окрестности на две стороны холма, на Дунай, Петроварадинскую крепость и огни Нови сада. Есть зона барбекью с принадлежностями. Есть удобная терраса с мебелью для отдыха. Мы встречали в этом доме Новый год, очень рады были, что выбрали именно его. У нас получилось погрузиться в сказочное и атмосферное настроение благодаря месту, архитектуре и интерьеру даже без снега, которого нам не хватает, ведь мы из Сибири. Es wurden ursprünglich 10 Tage gebucht. Leider mussten wir vorzeitig auschecken, jedoch waren die Gastgeber nicht bereit, uns eine Gutschrift oder Erstattung anzubieten. Sie haben darauf hingewiesen, dass die Buchung über Booking.com bereits abgeschlossen sei und sie daher keine weiteren Einnahmen erzielen könnten. Trotzdem war das Objekt kurz nach unserer Abreise wieder buchbar, was den Eindruck erweckt, dass es sich um betrügerische Machenschaften handelt.

In Bezug auf die Unterkunft selbst möchte ich hinzufügen, dass ich enttäuscht bin. Für einen Preis von über 100€ pro Nacht erwarte ich zumindest die Ausstattung mit einem Smart TV. Zudem war die Unterkunft innen sehr schmutzig. Aufgrund dieser Erfahrungen kann ich sie nicht...
