This is a small heaven in the middle of a wonderful village run by Dragan Miljevic and his wife. Both retired chemical engineers are madly passionate of their hobby to run a home based Restaurant and a wine cellar.
Dragan and his wife produce home made wine from their farm cultivated grapes. As the production is in limited quantity and both husband and wife pursue it as a hobby, only the best quality wine is delivered to the table.
Being vegetarians, we were wondered what would be served to us for lunch. We were flabbergasted to see the 4 course traditional meal prepared without egg, let alone meat. The fresh bread was baked in their Owen was simply authentic. They were aware we are Indians and love spicy food. Greed chilli in vinegar and fresh grapes was a feast to the tongue.
The choice of cutlery, the interiors was fantastic and last but not the least, every wine bottle is hand written by the lady in Cyrillic script instead of commercializing with printed labels.
Visiting Serbia and missing on Dragan's home restaurant is a sin. It is worth a drive from Belgrade to Novi sat. Five stars are less to honor them. thank you Dragan. Thank you Miljan (Serbian Private Tours) to have arranged this...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel to celebrate my birthday and relax and we’ve really enjoyed it! Everyone in the hotel is super hospitable, soulful and nice. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything was delicious (although we are very picky and usually it’s hard to please our taste😅). With every meal we were served homemade wine - red, white and rose; it was great! Dragan (the owner of Podrum) didn’t charge us for coffee and wine and it’s very nice too. By the way, we could choose comfortable time for having meals and even could choose some dishes. When we were leaving, Dragan gave us a small gift from the Podrum, it’s very cute! The location is nice too, we also enjoyed fresh and clean air! The room was clean and cozy:) In addition, Dragan gave us water and didn’t take any money for it; In other hotels I was always charged for anything🤓 So i really appreciate all the small details. I strongly recommend this hotel and location to...
Read moreThis is one of those hidden gems, located just outside the city but again in the middle of nature. I recommend it for both weekend getaways and work-remote friendly digital nomads hub. Did I mention pet friendly? Because my dog loved it :)
Internet connection is fast and stable. Food is just awesome, whenever you are vegan or carnivore. There is also an option for wine testing, that you should not miss, as there is a lot to learn about the whole wine making process. Other then wine, there is also great Vinjak, which is my favorite.
And just before you get bored of all that great food and drinks, there is a nice small forest for hiking, just around the corner. You can also book a horse riding tour if you are into that. I skipped it, but the nearby lake is very nice and just far enough to be within walking distance.
If you need anything else, feel free to ask the host. Dragan will entertain you and serve the most interesting stories about...
