I would stay at this hotel at any time, for any reason. We had a fantastic overnight stay at Hotel Tamiš few days ago. Starting with amazing staff who was there to greet us well after midnight, smoothly checks us in, and accommodate. We got upgraded room, so instead of standard double, we've got apartment. |The apartment is brilliant! Very spacious, carpeted floors, king size bed, soft towels, full fridge, wardrobe, racking and windows you can open. There was sort of two rooms in our apartment. One as a sitting area and other with bed. The sitting area had a table, fridge, lamps and two seater which can be pulled out in bed. Bed is exceptionally comfortable. Firm enough and brilliant for my damaged back. I slept like a baby! Pillows could be firmer, but that's just my preferences. Bathroom is quite spacious and has everything you could need: walk-in shower, sink, soap, two way mirror, shower gel, complementary conditioner, body lotion, shower cap and vanity pack. |We had a breakfast included in our stay, and my God it was out of this world! Hot, freshly cooked (mushrooms, eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns...), cold, continental, cereals, coffee, tea, juices, fresh fruit, buns, croissants, breads, few different types of spread, salami, ham, few types of cheese, scratchings... And everything locally sourced! All Serbian traditional products. I was doing my best to try it all but there was so much choice, I just couldn't. |Hotel is just outside Pančevo city centre so everything is in walking distance, and capital, Belgrade, is about 10 miles away with the bus stop right outside the hotel.|There are four remarks though. |First is walk-in shower. The tiles are sooooo slick and slippery. There definitely needs to be something on the floor so someone doesn't fall or worse. Or different tiles. |Second is that our shower gel tub was completely empty. Luckily, I always bring my own. This is not the hotel's fault but who ever cleaned the room last.|Third remark, more like a suggestion actually, is that there are no coffee/tea making facilities. If not a coffee machine, at least a kettle would be nice to have in the room. |And speaking of the coffee/tea, is my fourth remark: there was no decaf options at breakfast. I'm off caffeine due to health reasons and always bring my own, but it would be nice if I don't have to. |All in all, we've had an amazing stay and wouldn't think twice about staying again. We loved the hotel, loved the apartment and loved the staff! Big thank you to everyone included...
Read moreFirst time I stayed since the hotel was completeley remodeled after not working for decades. |Basically a brand new hotel. Rates 4 stars. |You enter a luxurious lobby, check in and then the “fun” starts. |The overall design of the hotel is as if the designer was taking ideas out of the magazines and combining what they thought looked good together. A lot of different random ideas throughout the hotel. From modern to wannabe traditional to kitschy. ||You enter one of two elevators. I first used the smaller one. It barely fits two grown men. It sounded the alarm for being overloaded and only me and my colleague were in it. The brand new elevator felt like constantly hitting something along the path and being on a verge of being stuck. The panels were shaking like crazy and the display was not working. ||After surviving the ride to the 5th floor I entered my room 505. Rooms are really small for a 4* hotel. |Interior is accented by wooden elements you would expect in a hotel from 1980s socialist era. ||There was no mirror in the bathroom! 😱|The toilet was very short and installed so close to the wall that it is really hard to sit on. |Walk in shower looks ok. However, the holder for the shower head was barely hanging on. When showering water temperature swings constantly from cold to hot. It is mission impossible to have steady water temperature. ||Bed is wide but short. And hard. So sleeping on it is like sleeping on a wooden board. |With heating off and a fully open window (outside temperature was around 5 degC) it was horribly hot in the room. ||The panic lighting is constantly on for some reason. So no way to get a dark room. ||At 2:14am a fire alarm sounded for 20-30 seconds. Waking up the whole hotel. ||I woke up feeling beaten up. ||Went to breakfast in the morning just to have coffee. The only free option was some kind of tasteless black water. Ordered espresso. Not much better. Got charged for it. ||All in all - this hotel will not be...
Read moreGood afternoon. I recently stayed at the spa in your hotel. Everything was wonderful, but the professionalism of the staff was very low. Here is my story: I decided to have a snack and went to the bar counter, which was unattended. Once an hour, a girl would come by to refill the water cooler, and that was it. The hotel could make money selling drinks and food, but apparently, it isn’t interested. I went to the reception in my bathrobe and asked for help with placing an order. The staff member didn’t speak English, so I explained in broken Serbian that I wanted a club sandwich and orange juice. I was informed that I’d have to wait about 45 minutes due to many orders in the hotel restaurant. I said okay and went to warm up in the sauna.
After 15 minutes, I ran into the same staff member. She looked upset and told me they couldn’t deliver my order because they couldn’t find me. The spa area is not big, and finding a customer should only take a minute. She said she would contact the kitchen to redo the order but told me I had to wait at a table in the café and not leave it. However, she couldn’t tell me how long the wait would be—maybe an hour, maybe 40 minutes. I found it odd to sit in a café for an hour when I’d come to the spa and pay for it. But fine.
After 15 minutes, a waiter arrived and, in a raised voice, started scolding me. Honestly, I’ve been to hundreds of hotels and restaurants and have never seen staff reprimand a guest. The waiter also didn’t speak English and only stopped after I reminded him that I was a hotel guest and he should stop.
I am addressing the hotel managers: your spa is wonderful, but something needs to be done with your staff. Such treatment of guests is unacceptable...
