Extremely Disappointing Experience at Villa Graf – Not Recommended for Events

Villa Graf is undeniably a beautiful venue, ideally situated by the Danube and visually perfect for weddings or celebrations. However, despite its picturesque setting, our experience during a recent event was deeply disappointing — and we feel compelled to caution others.

The hosts of the event rented the entire estate — all rooms and the main celebration hall — and paid a significant amount of money for exclusive use of the space. Unfortunately, once payment was made, the tone and behavior of the owners (an elderly couple who manage the property) shifted dramatically.

Without prior warning, they began enforcing unreasonable restrictions: • Music was abruptly cut off at midnight. • Fireworks — previously agreed upon — were suddenly not allowed. • The air conditioning was turned off despite the warm summer weather. • At 12:10 AM, the owners began switching off the lights and effectively trying to force guests to leave. • Most shockingly, they called the police on a private event they had already been well-paid to host.

The lack of professionalism, last-minute changes, and overall attitude of the owners caused unnecessary stress and embarrassment for the hosts and guests alike.

To be clear: the food (provided by an external catering company) was excellent, and the music (organized independently) was fantastic. But none of that can justify the way the venue management handled what should have been a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

Villa Graf is truly an amazing place! The atmosphere is peaceful, the surroundings are beautiful, and everything is very well taken care of. The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable, perfect for relaxing and enjoying your stay.

What makes this place even more special are the owners, they are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. You can feel that they truly care about their guests. It’s rare to find such warm-hearted people who go out of their way to make you feel at home.

One of the best exercises that we had in Serbia. The hotel was recommended to us by another one, actually the competition, did not disapoint at all. The hosts were very kind to us...2 families with 3 childrens...they expected us with beer and local drinks. The villa is situated on the Danube River with super nice views from the bar/restaurant area and from one of the apartments. The other apartments are with pool area view. All of them have a small kitchen with everything...
