Plaza Laćarak Rooms Night & Spa / GermanPro — Hotel in City of Sremska Mitrovica

I used to be regular guest if this wanna be hotel. For sure more than 5 times, actually since their beginning.|Materials they use are good and that's end of the story. It's good for first impresionisti and after that they're lost.|During winter rooms are more cold than warm. It's clear that it hard to warm room with AC and without central heating.|In all of my visits I wasn't able to have 1 decent shower. First of all its impossible to find right temperature of water due to very slow reaction and other thing is too low presure in system.|Next thing 10 EUR for breakfast. Are you kidding. 10 eur for fried eggs with few days old slice of lemon with tea. Lemon was already dark and hard.|I had self service breakfast for 10 eur in center of Copenhagen. In Serbia you can have lunch and dinner for that money.|Last thing... for more than 20 years I didn't sleep on bed with springs in mattress. Maybe in 20 years we'll pay additional for such experience. 😀|2 years I was willing to tolerate their mistakes while I thought it's something they'll change in time. The hosts were very friendly, the bathroom was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. Unfortunately, the first room was in a really bad condition. The bathtub lining was loose and the room door could not be closed. Unfortunately, the accommodation has nothing of a spa and wellness. There seemed to be no breakfast. The second room could at least be closed, but even this had various defects. Here, many things are done by the hotel itself, but the craftsmanship does not seem to be done professionally. In the immediate vicinity is a farm, unfortunately, the stench from the stable moves into the courtyard of the accommodation. The accommodation is comparable to a hostel by German standards, but unfortunately does not have much to do with a hotel. Only for overnight stay as we have used it is enough, but for the region and the prices then still usury. Unfortunately, the pictures do not correspond to reality either. On the day of departure around 7.30 a.m, the reception was not staffed. So we have threw the key card for the room in the mailbox and informed the Host. This was noted with an "ok Hvala". Thus, one has as a guest no chance to negotiate or give...

The place has not been thoroughly cleaned in I would say, several months. Floors unvacuumed, dirty bathroom with remnants of previous guests, dead bug by the heater. Towels had a funky smell, we didn't use them. It also needs maintenance, the wallpaper is peeling off, the bathroom faucet practically has no water flow, and the TV doesn't work. No soap either. The host drives a Tesla but cannot be bothered to pay someone €4 for an hour of cleaning after guests leave and before new people come in. Not worth over €70 per night, not by a long shot. Stay in a hotel in Sremska Mitrovica for the same amount and get a taxi to and back from Lacarak if you need to be there. Or sleep on a bench, that's also preferable to staying here. I presume the host knows he's overcharing and that it's dirty AF, since he disappeared after we checked in and we haven't seen him since. You convinieltly plop the door key in a designated place outside, so he doesn't risk getting confronted. Shameful...
