My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Hotel Stara Planina, and it was an ok experience. Finding the place wasn’t easy since there weren’t many signs along the road, but once we got there, it was a very positive surprise that they had a very large underground garage for cars. Since it was off-season, the hotel was almost empty, which made for a peaceful stay. The room was cozy, and the bed was super comfy, but it was frustratingly hot inside, with no way to adjust the temperature, which made it hard to fully relax. The decor felt a bit outdated, and some common areas could definitely use a facelift, but overall, the place was clean. The food was a real highlight, though—the restaurant served delicious meals, and we looked forward to enjoying them for 2 days. The spa was decent, with a nice sauna, but the pool was disappointing; the walls and floor felt slimy, probably from a lack of proper maintenance, which was pretty off-putting. The staff’s English wasn’t great, but they were kind and did their best to communicate. I think this place would really come alive during the winter season, especially with its location right next to the ski slopes. It’s probably a great spot for families looking for a winter getaway.

To be fair, we had a wonderful time regardless of the stay. We had nice weather and the children were good so we were satisfied. As for the hotel, the fair mark would be 9/10. Something is missing, the food was good, the service was nice, the room was fair and with a great view, however, the looks of the hotel are cheap, there are expensive cladding and wood from the outside and there is a cheap-looking laminate on the floor of the room, the kitchen is empty and bathroom will be a disaster in a few years from now. Somehow it is not in order. Also, if you rent a big suit as we did, there is nothing in the kitchen, not even a pot. If you ask for anything you will get it, the people are really nice, so we asked for a kettle, glasses, ashtrays, ... and then we were tired of asking and settled with what we got. The pool is good and with an excellent view, but it is too small for the size of the hotel. Anyway, the experience was good and we will come again hopefully. Cheers

It's worthy of its 4 stars. Stara Planina nature is really something amazing to be seen, lots of hiking routes in the summer season, and the air feels like aroma therapy. So im super happy there's such a great resort here. Rooms and bathrooms are cosy and spacious, really clean. Food was amazing, i had the best cvarci ever here, and i mean really the best! Couldn't believe how good they were(big fan of cvarci here xD) :D Variety of food at the buffet to chose from and everything is so tasty. Staff is friendly and professional. Outdoor pool is so great, water so fine that my eyes weren't sore even after an hour of swimming. Other spa and wellness commodities are up to the standard. All in all, an world class resort snd i will be more than happy to come back.

Traveling should be the relaxation and joy, and not a journey into the unknown, especially when you are going somewhere abroad...||Tired of everything related to the COVID 19, which has been holding us back for two years, complicates our lives and makes the travels impossible, this year we have decided to visit some place in our country SERBIA which is rich in natural beauties.||The destination we have chosen this time is the Hotel Stara planina.||Wonderful resort, almost on the very top of the mountain, all-inclusive service (excelent food), friendly staff, swimming pool outside and inside, free WI-FI, gym, spa, free parking in the garage, several ski slopes (in winter period) .. everything that is common in hotels like this one. ||What is different is the location! ||Totally isolated from civilization, but connected by a solid traffic infrastructure, this hotel offers complete peace in the natural environment ||In all directions there are endless forests, mountain peaks, lots of natural springs with clean mountain water, hiking trails, lot of points with amazing views..||During the summer period, you can also enjoy the forest fruits, blueberries, wild strawberries, raspberries..||We spent a wonderful week there and I would warmly recommend it to all nature lovers!||Definitely it will be a destination that we will visit more often...

I stayed at Stara Planina Hotel during a conference. The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere, which was great because there was no noise. Everything was great, from check-in to check-out. Rooms are spacious, they are thoroughly cleaned every day. Towels are also changed every day, while bed linen is changed once in three days. ||Food is great and I was particularly impressed by the restaurant staff, who are at your service throughout the meals. I can single out waiter Milan Blagojevic and the chef (unfortunately I didn't ask him for his name before I left). The chef tried to fulfill all our wishes regarding food, while waiter Milan was always there with a smile on his face and nice words for everybody without neglecting his job, which is to remove dirty dishes from the table and look after the supply of drinks. House wine and draft beer was included in the price and available during meals, along with a selection of soft drinks. ||We had lovely weather, so I visited the spa just once for a very short time and it seemed that everything was good. Instead, we walked to different overlooks to enjoy the sites, which are really impressive. The local mountaineering club could mark the treks better. I would especially recommend the Eagle Rock (Orlova...
