The staff was was not welcoming, especially at the restaurant. The waiter speaks English but she'd refuse to talk to me. When I came to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, I felt like "eating automat" – she didn't ask if and what did I want to have or not, just autatically brought me something to eat. Never seen this! Totally disrespectful. The food was simply not good. The bathroom was dirty. I was woken up in the morning by some unspecified noise. The cherry on the cake was they wanted to charge me extra two cups of coffee for breakfast which was included in the already high price of 60€ per person / night. Also there was a problem with my Booking reservation which I made for 1 person but at the reception they told me the price I agreed to pay (60€) was actually for two persons. If I had called, they would have offered me a better price for one person, they said. Not much better though – 53€. For the difference of price they offered me "free dinner" but forgot to tell me they would charge me two soft drinks extra as well. The only positive aspect of this accommodation is the location, I mean altitude. If you want to climb Midžor, it's nice to start at 1600m obviously. Otherwise, it was ONE BIG RIDICULOUS MESS, everything was a problem and I didn't feel comfortable at all. For the price it's absolutely...
Read moreWe stayed in Babin zub for 2 nights and it was great. The location Is amazing in the middle of the mountains. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was a bit old and not very well decorated but comfortable enough and the beds were really good, we slept well. The food was really good and came into huge portions. They even offer take away lunches if you don’t want to go back to the hotel in the middle of your ski day. The main problem is the location, you can only access the hotel through a tiny snowy road, and as the weather was bad when we got there, we stayed stuck in the snow for 2 hours the first day. The hotel staff was nice and sent someone to help us out. The same person dropped us off at Stara planina hotel the next days. Indeed, you need to drive 5km until stara planina hotel to have access to the ski slopes. |It was good in general, we had an...
Read moreThis is my ninth day at this guest house. I had full board, which is necessary because the nearest town is far away. The food was the best of Serbian traditional fare, meaning tasty but heavy on meat and oil. The staff have been very kind and helpful and I've enjoyed my stay here and will come back for sure. I've been here before, staying both at Hotel Stara Planina, the luxury hotel down the road from here, and at Planinarski Dom Babin Zub, a few meters away. The area is fabulous and I've hiked in the...
