Terrible, They stole our money and ruined our honeymoon !!
Upon our arrival at the villa, we found that there was no electricity, which had been the case for the previous two days at least. The owner could not provide a clear timeline for when the power would be restored (blaming government).
We were originally booked to stay for three nights, and the owner promised us a full refund in case we decide to leave, so we left for the first night to different hotel.
On the second day and 30 mins BEFORE checkout time from the other hotel we contacted the owner to ask whether the electricity had been restored so we could go back, we were informed that it had not yet been resolved. As a result, we decided to extend our stay at a different hotel. Later, the owner contacted us to inform us that the electricity had been restored, but by then, we had already paid for our accommodation at the new hotel (and since its 3 nights, we decided to book the last two nights in the other hotel since owner promised us for full refund if we decide so).
Given that the villa is self-catering, we were unable to cook or have any basic amenities like lights, Wi-Fi, AC, hot water making the situation untenable. The room smelled really bad, and since the employees left the windows open many insects were inside the villa, and the swimming pool was also dirty.
Once we had left Seychelles and returned home , the owner stopped responding to our messages and refused to refund us for the full stay claiming it was our choice to leave (laterally no one can stay at separate island without electricity) . He changed his position despite his earlier assurances to refund us if we leave. It is clear that the owner is greedy, lair and irresponsible. After having booking.com to intervene, the owner decided to refund for one night only (not satisfying).
This was supposed to be a highlight of our honeymoon, but it turned out to be the worst part of the trip. The owner does not take responsibility for the issues with his property, and his promises are...
Read moreWe stayed in the Sunset Villa, which is a two bedroom villa at the highest point on the property. The view was magnificent. When I first arrived I thought I was in the pages of a magazine. ||||The villa is very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. We spent most of our time out on the balcony gazing at that magnificent view. ||||The kitchen is well appointed with microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven and lots of pots and pans. If you need anything else then you can just ask Christine or Michel. They had already supplied a welcome pack which included eggs, butter, milk, juice and bread. Plus we got our own supplies at the supermarket on Eden Island. ||||You can also order specially cooked meals, which I highly recommend. We had three meals of lovely creole dishes, with whole grilled fish and prawns and salads. Delicious!||||Other than that the best thing to do is go kayaking to the surrounding beaches. Snorkeling is good. Or just swimming off the jetty. The plunge pool is also lovely. ||||This was our first holiday since the pandemic began and we felt very safe and relaxed here. It was nice to feel like we could isolate and unwind in such a paradise.||||Christine and Michel manage the property beautifully, and everything is well maintained. Thank you...
Read moreWhat can I say - it’s our 4th time here and we are yet to be disappointed. South Point Villas (SPV) never lets us down. Michel, Christine and Mike do their utmost to make us feel at home here. The Cove is our favorite villa and we cherish the beautiful sunrises we view from our deck every morning. The plunge pool is especially appreciated and frequently used. SPV have invested in new 2-seater kayaks since our last visit. Someone did a good job in buying these - they were the best 2-seater kayaks we have seen around here. They were very comfortable with great back supports. Future guests, please remember to rinse them with fresh water after use. The weather this time of year was much to our liking - we had 3 afternoons with welcomed rain (during our 14 day stay). Our main problem is that we like SPV so much that we don’t get to see much else of the Seychelles. Special thanks to Michel and Christine for a wonderful birthday dinner as I turned 64 during our stay this year. SPV has included one free trip a week for grocery shopping - very much appreciated. Airport pick-up and return is as always impeccable. We are sad to leave but look forward to next year already. NB - one advisable improvement would be to lay more stone tiles on path between reception...
