We went to Pearl restaurant for the first time for lunch and even though half of the team was busy with a group in their terrace, we were very disappointed with the service. So what seems to be a fancy and high quality restaurant turned out to be just an overpriced experience on bad service. We entered the restaurant and asked if it was possible to have lunch and after a positive reply we sat outdoors. A waitress then canes empty handed asking if we need the menu... I suppose all clients do... that was my thought. So we went through the two different menus and chose a carbonara and Mexican fajitas. The Mexican fajitas came shortly after but the carbonara didn’t seem to come... so we started sharing the food. A bit after another waiter comes to apologize that they forgot to put the order of the carbonara but that it would come soon. When the carbonara finally comes we had already finished the Mexican fajitas however the carbonara was basically pasta and sauce, no veggies neither meat like stated in the menu. We tried to call the attention of the waiter who came back after 10min saying I need to check with the kitchen and after another 10min brings us the menu and we show him that there was items described that were not in the plate! Since it all seemed like a waste of time for the lengthy service we just asked the bill,...

Great place to spend a working trip to Freetown. Located on the beachfront and offering modern facilities, Pearl hotel is a relatively new hotel. Guests are treated to fully equipped and functional individual appartements and can do their own cooking. The swimming pool looks inviting and is surrounded with spaces for a quite chat and drink with friends.

There is however a restaurant located in front of the hotel and on the beach which offers tasty Sierra Leonian dishes as well as excellent pastry and other dishes.

Easy access to boat services at Moriton and Aberdeen either by taxi or with the hotel shuttle. Staff are friendly and pleasant to talk to.

Note that breakfast gets served in your personal living room every morning at the time you indicate when you check in.

Highly recommended for it's excellent...

The Pearl Cafe and Beach Terrace are my new favorite places to hang out at Lumley and in Freetown. There are several reasons why:

I'm a dessert person and it is very difficult to find tasty, moist desserts in Freetown. All three desserts I've had here were delicious. The cheesecake, teacake, and chocolate explosion were excellent.

The decor is nice both at the beach bar which has great views and in the coffee shop, which is great to pop in, do work and have tea. My only suggestion is that the coffee shop opens before 11.

The staff are good. Service tends to be a problem in Sierra Leone so when you are tended to by good staff you notice...

Awsome place fast service staff is very friendly and food is not that much expansive I arrived Freetown for work and this was the first restaurant we went to. The food was good a bit expensive I was told but as I don't have a lot of experience yet at FTN...I stayed at Pearl Residence for 3 months and I had a wonderful time indeed. The hotel is new and well maintained, the Hotel Manager Mars is a very good host and he was always. Sea faceing is awesome thing they have .
