We went to Pearl restaurant for the first time for lunch and even though half of the team was busy with a group in their terrace, we were very disappointed with the service. So what seems to be a fancy and high quality restaurant turned out to be just an overpriced experience on bad service. We entered the restaurant and asked if it was possible to have lunch and after a positive reply we sat outdoors. A waitress then canes empty handed asking if we need the menu... I suppose all clients do... that was my thought. So we went through the two different menus and chose a carbonara and Mexican fajitas. The Mexican fajitas came shortly after but the carbonara didn’t seem to come... so we started sharing the food. A bit after another waiter comes to apologize that they forgot to put the order of the carbonara but that it would come soon. Read moreGreat place to spend a working trip to Freetown. Located on the beachfront and offering modern facilities, Pearl hotel is a relatively new hotel. Guests are treated to fully equipped and functional individual appartements and can do their own cooking. The swimming pool looks inviting and is surrounded with spaces for a quite chat and drink with friends.
There is however a restaurant located in front of the hotel and on the beach which offers tasty Sierra Leonian dishes as well as excellent pastry and other dishes.
Easy access to boat services at Moriton and Aberdeen either by taxi or with the hotel shuttle. Staff are friendly and pleasant to talk to.
Note that breakfast gets served in your personal living room every morning at the time you indicate when you check in.
Highly recommended for it's excellent...

The staff are good. Service tends to be a problem in Sierra Leone so when you are tended to by good staff you notice...
