Pension Altmayer — Hotel in Štiavnické Bane

The hotel is roughly 6 years old, strongly decorated with trophies from hunting. The location is perfect. I had small trouble getting there (Don´t trust the GPS, look for signs near the road. GPS might guide you through mountain roads requiring 4x4). Building is located nearly at the top of the hills, overlooking the whole valley. Rooms are a bit smaller (at least our was - 25), but on the contrary the bathroom with shower were spacious and very clean. Speaking of food they served, it was quite good. But on the other hand, I had better. Same with breakfast. ||||Beds were a bit small (width) and matrace was very soft. But this is I think my personal opinion only, as I know people who enjoy soft matraces. I personally enjoy harder ones. Personel was very polite and pleasant, but the very last moment - checkout - was a bit chaotic. There were only waiters available and they had to perform the checkout, while taking care of breakfast. That was a pity, because we spent 2 nights, but had only 1x breakfast, and waiter counted 2x breakfast. At the end all went good, but could be managed better if someone else would take care of the checkout, like...

Ako začať s popisom celeho dosť nepríjemného zážitku ... Ked sme prišli, reštaurácia bola prázdna. Po chvíli sedenia prišla čašníčka s tým, ze maju len divinovy vývar a pivo. Jedálny lístok nam vôbec nedoniesla... Ok, tak sme si dali jeden vyvar a dve piva. Vývar - dominantná chuť v ňom bolo polievkové korenie. Rezance kúpne. Ked sme chceli platit, čašníčka nikde. V kuchyni umyvala hrniec (co robil potom kuchár?). Na žiadosť platby kartou povedala, ze mozeme skusit, ale ráno to nefungovalo. No... Nefungovalo to ani teraz. Tak som povedala, ze zaplatím hotovosťou. Odpoveď 11,40 €. Dala som jej 12. (velke pivo, male pivo a umelý maly vývar (4.5€) z misky ako v školskej jedálni - pivo tym padom stalo koľko 4,5 €??? ). Zobrala peniaze, vydala mi z 50 € a pokračovala v pozeraní do pc. "Poprosim ešte účet" požiadala som po chvíli ticha . "Nefunguje nám to". Bola som v šoku. Vypytali si peniaze bez toho, aby sme my mali možnosť zistiť, co koľko stojí. Nedostali sme žiadny doklad. Cista katastrofa. Túto reštauráciu naozaj nemôžem odporúčať. Ani kvalitou, ani prístupom. Pani zjavne za to nemohla, len tak pracovala. Majitel by sa mal nad...

we visited the restaurant by chance. It was very pleasant. Place has two terraces, great views. The place is very much oriented on game. And the dishes from game are gorgeous. We had main course, but luckily we asked the main course to be split on two plates. It was great food but simply too much 😂 ||We could enter the terrace with a small dog, so that was great...
