Pension Budzák — Hotel in Ždiar

After out citytrip to Krakow we wanted to go to Zakopane to do a hiking activity. We were suprised by the big crowd and decided to drive somewhat further. Just across the border we found this fantastic guesthouse (Penzion). It felt like an undiscovered pearl in the beautiful Tatra mountain area.||This guesthouse houses 8 beautifully decorated rooms. The rooms are complete, clean and bright. Since we decided to have included breakfast (an absolute must if you enjoy fresh and varied breakfast every morning). The two owners do this breakfast together (Anne is doing serving, Igor is doing the cooking). A wonderful duo who are working hard to make us comfortable!!||The area around Dziar is beautiful. The Tatra mountain area from Slovakian side is wonderful. Not as many people as in Zakopane luckily so that the hiking trails are almost free to walk (many hiking trails around Dziar can be found at wandermap.net)|If you have a car one should definitely drive to Cerveny Klastor with the route through Osturna: fantastic scenery in the preserved nature area over there.||For us we will definitely come back to this...

it was our 3rd trip to Zdiar and we stayed again in Budzak, it is always pleasure to stay there. owners are really friendly. breakfast is amazing, they always change it so you r surprised every morning. food quality is better than any other 5star hotels. hotel rooms are very useful and tidy, it is so quite and family friendly. many people has kids with them but we never hear anything. they just reconstructed entire pension and they did great job. there is also grocery store right next door, you can grab your food and hit the road which we always do. there are many restaurants close by -walking distance- you wont regret to stay there. every single room has...

It is a beautiful area but it is a shame that this property lets the place down. It looks very nice however the landlords advertise free rooms when clearly they are fully booked and to top it off, they do not like to communicate through any other language except from Slovak. We tried to make contact with the owner and they spoke in a harsh tone and hung up on us. If you are coming to stay around here, i would recommend booking other places around this location because the view is great and there are a lot of activities for you and tour children to get...
