Kaštieľ Ottlýk — Hotel in Bánovce nad Bebravou

The small mansion like hotel with a very good restaurant is located by road to Bánovce. Rooms are very good standard and they have a superb restaurant bellow. Room I was in had windows to street, but was not noisy with a king size bed and cosy bathroom with bathtube.||When You stay or just eat there, You need to try the tartar sauce prepared by their chef de quisine.I rarely eat such taste, however I could not get the recepie. Das Ottlyk ist ein altes Herrenhaus an der Eingangsstraße von Banovce. Durch den Neubau einer Umgehungsstrecke ist es allerdings ruhig. Das Gebäude hat Charme, die Zimmer sind groß, alles ist sauber und sehr freundlich. Bisweilen fehlt es an der Professionalität, was durch Freundlichkeit ausgeglichen wird. Wer das nicht mag, sollte in Trencin im Hotel Elizabeth bleiben, das nur etwa 30 km entfernt ist. In Banovce ist das Ottlik die erste Wahl und durchaus empfehlenswert, wenn man bereit ist, kleinere Schwächen zu akzeptieren und sich an einem authentischen slowakischen Stil zu erfreuen. Negativ bei uns: Kreditkarte war nicht erwünscht, weil wir angeblich eine Sonderrate hatten. Positiv: Freundlichkeit, Frühstück und Besuch des Weinkellers. Das Ottlik ist für lokale Verhältnisse nicht preiswert. Insgesamt noch Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten, aber schon jetzt keine...
