Mountain Hotel Mnich — Hotel in Bobrovec

We have found this place while hiking with our kids in this area. Set in a beautiful surrounding, the hotel itself is very good and unlike many other facilities in Slovakia, this one is really professionally run. We had the opportunity to meet and talk to the people running the hotel and whatever we have asked for, nothing was a problem. The food and drinks were of exceptional quality, the service was professional. We truly appreciated the forest fruit lemonade served there. Next to the hotel is a spacious playground for children with lots of attractions in it. For a small fee (3 Euro, I guess), our kids had tons of fun. We could feel that children are really welcome there. The hotel itself offers a wide range of opportunities for action and adventures. Among other attractions, our kids enjoyed table tennis and calcetto (table football). As I spoke to the managers, they also offer plenty of activities and programme suitable for companies' teambuilding events and other. A young couple running the place were very forthcoming, helpful and we could feel they were really willing to do their very best to satisfy all of our needs and fulfil any possible wish we may have had. , I can only recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Liptov region, you will feel at home here! We stayed in this hotel a week a go on a teambuilding activities trip for 2 days. Hotel has main building and couple of cabins next to the parking place. It is surrounded by trees and you have beautiful views on the mountain of Western Tatras almost from every angle. If you are a Mountain/nature lover, you will really enjoy a stay here. Staff is extreme friendly, at night there were suited in old monks clothing (information for girls only, it seems that they have nothing under cassocks :)||Breakfast was average but in the evenning there was very good slovak food including special grilled pig (special order 2 days before) perfect vine to choose from. ||We slept in small and simple furnished cabins. But most of the day we spent in nature so it was acceptable. Cabins are not that comfort equiped as rooms in the main building, so are more for boys/chidren companies or experienced mountain families. There are two perfect expeditions in surrounding mountain valleys, you can choose between Kvačianska and Prosecká dolina, or you can make an whole day trip with entering one and comming back with other. This hotel has a great deal of charm in a very quiet and scenic setting. ||The rooms are spacious, well fitted out, with comfortable bedding and a pleasant bathroom. Free WiFi worked well. The small spa has a great jacuzzi that uses a thermal spring. A separate mention for the sumptuous breakfast buffet. The food is very starchy and for some tastes lacking in fresh vegetables: this is the only minor complaint regarding an otherwise outstanding hotel. The grounds are well kept, with a small zoo for company and some cool outside equipment for working out.
