Penzion Manderlak — Hotel in Bobrovec

We've booked this b&b via booking.com. And by all means service through them was ok. It's when we've turned up about noon,and there was nobody there... We were told that checking in is from 2pm. It wasn't. On confirmation from booking.com was clearly stated that it's from 12. Owner replied (over the phone conversation) that if we want to we can go skiing or sightseeing, as he's currently on the slope and will be back at 2 o'clock. I tried to explain situation with booking com, he was having none of it. That has spoiled the whole day as the sloped are closed by 15:30. We were there for only 2 nights and tried to make most of it. Luckily there is night skiing from 18:00.||Checking out again was supposed to be from 12, but we were told that by 10 we should be gone. When showed evidence that company he pays (booking.com) is giving wrong info to the customer he hesitated but agreed for us to check out at 12 (we wanted to hit the slopes early and make the most of the stay).||If you plan short stay make sure you agree the check in/out with the owner. Very nice location! Our room was upstairs so in a hot summer day it can be very hot inside, but there are dark curtains to reflect back outside the hot sunlight. In the room we did not have a kitchen, only a small refrigarator. Unfortunately there were not even knifes to make sandwitches for the hike. There was a restaurant downstairs with a few tables outside, surrounded by flowers. The meals were not the best, but good enough for hungry people. The service is very nice, we were surprised that they spoke english very well, which made the communication very easy. Parking is free on the street. Very nice hotel and friendly host. This is a simple hotel with clean rooms. The hotels has a restaurant opened until 9pm specialized in pizzas. They are great and quite large, I definitely recommend trying. Prices are very reasonable. The breakfast is very good with a large selection or cold cuts. The wifi works well and is reliable within the room. Only small issue: the hot water in the shower worked fine but was limited in quantity.
