Penzión Fit — Hotel in Budča

Nah sorry, highly NOT recommendable if you have any requirements in cleanliness or comfort! We just needed one night on our way home from a long ride and the advertisement looked acceptable. But no. I had several hairs on my bed sheets, which didn't make it very inviting for me. Some stains on the wall above the head end didn't help here to let me feel better. But even worse was the bathroom. Not sure when (or whether?!) it was cleaned the last time, certainly not visibly cleaned for us. The toilet had sprinkles inside from the last "big business". There was a bogey smeared on a tile next to the toilet. The glasses which were supposed to be used for our toothbrushes were full with stains and looked like something that I would never let get in touch with my toothbrush. The tap itself was full with a thick layer of limescale as a proof of not being cleaned regularly. Just as the shower which looked also pretty disgusting and not inviting to be used. The breakfast was existent, but after the experience with the cleanliness in the room I didn't feel very attracted to it. Unfortunately only the honey (and some meat spread that I didn't want to eat) came in "safe" prepacked portions. Someone said it was a quiet location - if you are located towards the highway, it's certainly not. Somehow on their own pictures it looked quite decent and their banner let us think they have 3 stars. But in fact even every cheap hostel in Asia I visited was...

The one staff member I encountered during a 2 night stay was helpful enough to provide drinking water in a pinch which just so happened to be during the day while moving boxes around. The restaurant was closed. The hotel itself is poorly kept and adopts a contact less check in and check out. It smells moldy and dusty and the rooms reflect as such. Bathroom sink and shower were poorly maintained with broken tile and faucets. They have a water cooler but it was empty on the first day. Hotel is across from a meat distribution warehouse "pozana" with late night deliveries so lots of noise. The window handles were broken and I couldn't close the window completely to help cut down noise. I've stayed in some dive truck stops and hostels and this rates in the lowest of them. The room was dirty and the furniture was very worn. The sink was broken and everything was covered with lime. The bed was very uncomfortable and hard as a rock.
