Kuria Bzenica Restaurant — Hotel in Bzenica

We spent 2 nights in family and it was a great experience ! The staff overall was really exceptional : young people, nice, smily, helpful, dedicated, efficient, professional, they speak English... I hope that the manager pays them according to their competency, because they were probably the main motive of satisfaction for me, they deserve a decent salary.

The food at the restaurant was simple but very good and tasty, and the portions were quite generous (which is something that I particularly appreciate, I hate being served small portions).

There are plenty of nice trips and places to visit around in the area.

The room however was desapointing. The toilet paper holder was very badly placed (to far and way too low), I didn't like the bed (I got back pains in the morning), and the floor is extremely noisy (if you go to the toilet during night you will for sure wake everybody up). And there is no table, no chair, no wifi, so if you need to use your laptop, this is not the best place. I remove 1 star because of the room, I think that some features could be easily improved, and the quality of the staff cannot...

Lunchtime, 2 simple meals, after 60 minutes of waiting I asked how it looks with the food, I have been told 30 minutes (totally unreal, there were lots of unserved tables that came before us) so we decided to go and I asked for a bill for the drinks. It took another 20 minutes, to pay as there was a crowd of people canceling their orders for the same reason. All together more then 2 hours wasted and left hungry. Do not go here, they will ruin your trip and day as they did to us.. P.S. The restaurant was about 2/3 full and no one, even after urging the food, told us "Sorry, you will have to wait for your food...

Keby sa dalo, nedala by som ani jednu hviezdičku. Táto „reštaurácia“ si totiž nezaslúži ani to minimum. Boli sme sa tu najest 6. septembra dúfam že toho kuchára uz vymenili alebo aspoň o tom uvažujú. Pred pár rokmi sme tu jedli a jedlo bolo naozaj chutné, no teraz to bolo hotové fiasko. Dali sme si cesnakovú polievku – navrchu plávala podivná pena, ktorá vyzerala tak, že človek mal dojem, akoby do nej niekto napľul. V mojej porcii bol dokonca úplne rozmočený krutón. Mala som pocit, že polievky sa tu možno zlievajú z nezjedených porcií a podávajú ďalším hosťom. Priateľ si s bratom objednali bryndzové halušky s dvojitou slaninou ktorú nedostali a ta čo dostali bola miestami taká specena a čierna že by sa s ňou dal tanier rozbit. Ja som si objednala klasiku – „vepřo knedlo zelo“. No keď som jedlo uvidela, okamžite ma prešla chuť. Knedľa bola stará a tvrdá, mäso chutilo ako rozmrazené, mastné a bez známky toho, že by sa pieklo. Skôr pôsobilo, akoby bolo len uvarené. Kapusta bola prehnane kyslá a vôbec to spolu neladilo. Sestra si dala hermelín s hranolkami. Priniesli jej plný tanier mastných hranoliek, ktoré boli urobené v prepálenom oleji, bez soli. Dcérke sme objednali kuracie prsia s ryžou – jej obľúbené jedlo. No neskôr sa ukázalo že mäso zvláštne páchlo, či už zo spáleného oleja, alebo preto, že nebolo čerstvé. Dcérka ho odmietla jesť , a to hovorí samo za seba. Pani čašníčka nám ešte aj doniesla navyše limonádu, ktorú nám po chvíli vzala a odniesla k iným hosťom – bez toho, aby vôbec vedela, či sme z nej nepili. Odchádzali sme nahnevaní, prakticky hladní, a napriek tomu sme museli účet zaplatiť. Ako slušní ľudia sme sa hádať nechceli, ale sklamanie...
