I have stayed here recently with some of my friends as a group. We had booked a large room in the Hotel section, at a nightly rate of close to 30 Euros per person. Included in the rate was breakfast, which was horrible. We arrived 30 minutes before the end and almost everything was already gone. After asking the kitchen personnel for som refill, they growled at us to get lost from the kitchen (there was not staff in the breakfast room though, so we had no other chance to find someone than to check the kitchen). Even then, the sausages were cold and I even almost ate a moulded piece of chese!!||The hotel is newly renovated and the equipment is nice and clean. ||However, there is no electricity in the hotel between 10PM and 10AM and no one informed you of this beforehand!||And at night, there was even no heating and as it was round 7 degrees Celsius outside at night, the room was quite cold.||In the morning we went to complain about the problems we had, but the hotel manager who was there in the early morning apparently "escaped" the hotel before we got to talk to him (he must have known we had major issues, as we argued a lot during breakfast time, when he was, according to waiting personnel, still there).||Nevertheless, the receptionist was kind and said she has encountered these problems with other guests before and that there is not much she could do about it more than to apologize, which she did.||We then insisted to pay a reduced price for lodging, which was accepted, so we paid some 30 Euros less (but still way too much for the terrible service provided).||||All in all, this hotel is to be avoided at all costs, if you do not wish to have your great time destroyed (for the nature all around...
Read moreIn the Hotel Kralova Studna we slept one night. Originally we intended to come to the hotel on foot from the village of Turecka, here to stay overnight and continue the hike along the ridge of the Velka Fatra Mountains. But the all-day rain forced us to drive our car to the hotel on a narrow mountain road, which is mostly gravel, but with caution passable for cars. The use of this road is at a small fee charged by the hotel. The hotel’s location is amazing, near the main ridge of the Velka Fatra Mountains at an altitude of 1270 meters, and hardly has a comparison in Slovakia. Due to its location high in the mountains, beautiful views and pristine nature around it is definitely worth visiting the hotel. The hotel room was very spacious, effectively equipped and sleep quality outside any disturbing influences of our civilization was really very good. Due to the lonesome hotel's location in the mountains without power supply (it is only generated by its own generator) one can understand that electricity is switched off at 10 pm, the menu is limited and the room rates somewhat higher. In addition to hotel rooms there is available a tourist dormitory as well at significantly lower price.||But what definitely spoiled our stay was the staff's behavior. We were almost alone in the hotel, in addition to us only a small group of four other hikers. Staff acted totally inappropriately and wholly unprofessional, receptionist and waitress clearly showed us that our presence is bothering them. For a simple food for breakfast we waited almost an hour. Beautiful weather next day improved our mood, but bad memories of the hotel amidst beautiful mountains...
Read moreMe and group of 5 friends have stayed in this hotel for one night - we were amazed by the level of service that we have received for our 29 eur/person/night:|1) electricity is turned off after 10pm and it remains turned off until 10am - what is the biggest concern is that nobody notifies you about this little fact so that you recharge your gear until 10pm|2) ignorance of staff is something that has amazed us during the whole stay (only one person was helpful when we asked for help)|3) heating was turned off all the time even though temperature outside dropped down to 6 C (staff informed us that the heating is not even turned on in cities and law requires facilities to turn on the heating if temperature drops down below 15 C - which obviously was the case..)|4) poor menu selection in restaurant not corresponding with the high level of prices|5) breakfast was the worst we have ever seen or heard about, we arrived at 9 (breakfast is served until 9:30) and there wasn't much to choose from - cold sausages, little pieces of bread and we found a cheese with mould on it - we have informed the waitress but received no comment or apology or anything|6) in the end we refused to pay and when we have asked to see manager we were just told that the manager has already left and that we should call him - since all of our phones were dead as we couldn't recharge them, we have paid only 2/3 of the total bill and have left||Please stay away from this hotel for your own good and save your money and nerves for places...
