Hotel Šomka — Hotel in Drienica

I took my family to this restaurant for lunch after a day out. I have been at this restaurant before and I enjoyed it so I wanted to come by again. We ordered zabiačky tanier, čenojorsky rezeň, tva krat Šomka špeciál, vyprážaný syr, y pastu .We also got soup which was delicious but the main meals were off. The Šomka special had chicken that was ok, but the pork was undercooked and tough, too tough to bite. Čenojorsky rezen was not cooked enough and when I complained our waiter did not take my complaint seriously. The zabiačky tanier had sausage that was also tough and hard to bite and hurka was very dry and did not look fresh. The vypražany syr was nothing special, but the cheese was not cooked all the way through and was not very warm, and later that night my daughter felt a bit sick from the cheese. The pasta was alright but the sauce was not very flavorful and was watery. We also ordered pirohy brydzove y tvarohové, but they let me down.This visit made me a bit disappointed because I like this restaurant but this time it left me and family not as happy as we came in. I love the location but the quality has gone down...

Clean rooms and kind staff. The guest is the most important in this hotel! Minibar offers are correct. They don't have hair dryer. The lighting is not so comfortable in the rooms (not enough light - 105) and restaurant (discomfort glare). We slept there only one night and there was a wedding party also there, so it was a little bit noisy, but we were very-very fatigued, thus we slept...

The hotel is located in a beautiful mountain setting. We didn't have a chance to try the hotel so my review is only about the restaurant. We tried few local dishes and I was very surprised. Tasty and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and quick so I was very satisfied. Btw, the parking is free for all...
