Hotel Julianin Dvor — Hotel in Habovka

We just spent a 5 day family vacation at this fantastic place. Julianin Dvor is advertised as a 3 * star establishement so our expectations were not very high. Especially given our negative experience with a 4 ** star hotel nearby (Hotel Altis) which was a disaster. To be honest with you, we were unable to find any glitches during our stay. ||||Rooms||We stayed in a 3 bed apartment which was spacious, very clean, had a separate mini hallway with a wardrobe. The bathroom was super clean and well equipped with complimentary soaps/schampoos. The room offered a mini bar which we used to our full satisfaction. The beds were so good! Our kids loved the place||||Dining||We ate multiple times at the a'la carte restaurant. In contrary to multiple reviews here, we were highly highly satisfied with the food and its variety. Just look at the attached photos and it will be clear to you that the chef knows very well what he is doing. Great food, great freshness, great taste. Nothing to critisize at this domain. The views from restaurant were stunning!!! ||||Facilities||We just used the swimming pool once, it was a bit cold for winter (28C) but the kids loved it and there was no problem. I went for a back massage which was both very good and quite cheap. The place has also a bowling alley that we did not use so I cannot comment on that. The park around the hotel is fantastic, we enjoyed it with the kids very well though it was fully covered in snow. ||||Service||Service is the best part of this hotel. Everyone was super attentive, the great service began upon the reception all the way to restaurant and room services. Everyone was extremely helpful, always cheering, I've never seen anything like that in Slovakia. Exceptional! I tend to be very strict in some of my tripadvisor reviews but there isn't absolutely anything one could critisize the hotel staff for. Wow, great job.||We also stayed for the New Year party program which was well organized, food again superb and the atmosphere was great. The midnight fireworks show was phenomenal.||||Internet||The whole hotel grounds are extremely well covered with a free wifi. There are separate wifi networks for the rooms, restaurant and the little saloon. There was not a single problem with the connection. Workoholics' paradise! ;-)||||All in all, this is a great gem in the middle of Orava region. We were absolutely stunned, this hotel can keep up with the nicest hotels in Slovakia. We were a couple visiting restaurant only for lunch @ 11 A.M. Being only ones in restaurant waitress wasn't able to remember what we ordered - so each time she asked who got soup, what meal goes to who.||Chicken soup was a bit sour - I guess it was cooked few days before and just heated. Pork loin was too dry - probably heated too and as sidedish I ordered an 'English vegetables on butter' what was carrot, brocoli and cauliflower. Well known frozen vegetable - even it wasn't heated on pan properly as some of it was still cold.||Girlfriend's fried cheese was again semifinished product. At least potatoes were cooked properly.||This restaurant I can recommend for people who doesn't care whether food was cooked or whether it was just heated and served intermediate product.||Don't take...

Boli sme tu prvý krát. Prostredie krásne, hotel pekný a čistý. Recepčné veľmi milé a ústretové. Mali sme pobyt na 3 noci s raňajkami a bazénom. Izba bola s balkónom, chladničkou a tv- pre dvoch akurát. Kúpeľňa tak isto, všade pekne a čisto. Jedna dosť zásadná vec- zástrčky sú nelogicky rozmiestnené za nábytkom, alebo veľkou posteľou 🤔 toto je trošku nedomyslené, lebo aj nočné lampy bolo obtiažne zapojiť nieto ešte nabiť telefón či notebook🤭. Posteľ je veľmi pohodlná, vyššia, matrace perfektné až na nešťastné vankúše 🙃 ale tie sa pri trošku dobrej vôle dajú nejako poskladať pod hlavu. Keďže bola izba na prvom poschodí a skoro nad bazénom, tak bolo dosť cítiť chlór v kúpeľni a aj hluk z bazéna cez ventilátor. Zase sme mali prehľad kedy je bazén prázdny 😁😁😁. Tak isto bolo počuť dunenie z kolkárne. Nič tragické, na dovolenke sa s tým počíta 😁. Keďže ale hotel nie je úplne obsadený, čo je na jednu stranu výhoda - v bazéne sme si s manželom mohli dosýta zaplávať, dali sa aj tieto nedostatky prehliadnuť a do 22 hodiny bolo už všade ticho. Druhou- horšou stránkou takto málo obsadeného hotela je, že raňajky boli slabšie -dosť malý výber. Ale zase na druhú stranu hladný nebol nikto. A je pochopiteľné že aj výber jedál sa musí prispôsobiť danej situácii. Hotel je super hlavne pre rodinky s malými deťmi, tie sa tu prehrajú v pohode aj celý deň. Vonku je zábavy habadej- skákací hrad, trampolína, pieskovisko, dopravné ihrisko... Tráviť však celý deň v areáli pre dospeláka by bola asi nuda. Hotel ponúka na izbách itinerár vyžitia v okolí, čo veľmi chválim. Orava je naozaj krásne miesto, je nutné však počítať s vrtkavým počasím, ktoré sa dokáže meniť aj každých 5 minút, ako sa to stalo aj nám. No nie je zlé počasie, ale je len zle oblečený dovolenkár. My sme si užili aj v daždi aj za slnečného počasia, či už Oravský hrad, plavbu loďou Orava, Slanicky ostrov, výlety a prechádzky do okolia, Rio de Klin, Františková Huta, múzeum Oravskej dediny či výlet v stredu do Jablonky na trhy. Mimochodom tie sa už veľmi neoplatia. Tovaru síce mraky, neviete kam sa kuknúť ale veru pre našinca už doooosť draho. Ak sa vyberiete na dovolenku na Oravu určite zvoľte Julianin dvor ako možnosť ubytovania a večerného relaxu vo wellness, na bowlingu či v reštaurácii.
