Unpleasant experience with the waiter. I've ordered pork ribs with horseradish and mustard. Ribs weren't anyhow glazed or marinated (pretty much tasteless) and they were around 20% bones, 10% meat and the rest was pure fat. I don't like chewing fat much, but I was able to quickly notice, that horseradish is missing. I've asked nicely the waiter, if he can bring some to me, hence it was stated in the menu. At first he was investigating my dish and telling me, that I must have got it there. Then he went to the kitchen, came back and said rudely that I haven't got any horseradish because there is non and will be available from tomorrow (Btw national day, everything's closed). No sorry, no apologies. Just like that. The waiter took our dishes without asking how we did like the food, which took away the possibility to leave any feedback either to the food or his behavior. Anyway I had to pay full price for ribs even without the horseradish (hr and ribs are pretty much my kind of combination, why I order the dish). Anyway, it seems like a nice place, with typically slovak food (hope that slovak ones taste ok) so if they learn some manners from feedbacks like this, then they are on a good way to be a nice cosy...
Read moreI stopped by at this place with my Swiss friends in January 2022 (not January 2023 since there was no option from the drop down list). Beautiful day, lots of snow. We had late lunch between 2 and 3 p.m. on a working day. We were only guests in the restaurant. I order grilled Camembert type cheese and French fries. When it came, the cheese was only lightly grilled and completely cold inside. I complained and returned the dish. The waitress promised to bring it back warmer. So when it came back it as almost the same temperature (same piece of cheese) and now also the fries were cold and soggy. So no real improvement but I still ate it. ||I felt ashamed about the standard of service in front of my Swiss friends but this is also one o many faces of Slovak hospitality. ||It virtually costs nothing to make fresh portion of French fires...but the chef decided...
