Hotel Dávid — Hotel in Košice

I booked the hotel last minute while traveling from Croatia to Poland - this was an unplanned stop in Slovakia to sleep.

I had high hopes for this hotel based on the pictures and conversation with staff.

What I liked about the hotel: 24/7 reception tidy rooms

What I think the hotel did not do well: it was a heatwave - the hotel did not have a fan, neither AC fridge was unplugged in the room I verbally confirmed breakfast for two but ended up not eating at the hotel - despite that the staff in the morning shift charged me a full amount for two breakfasts and highlighted that he could not provide any takeaway, neither did the staff offer coffee/tea/water - reminder - it was a heatwave and I / my partner were exhausted after the night. We also paid a full price for breakfasts (12 Euro for two). It seemed the hotel staff was interested in taking a payment but disregarded customer service altogether location is in an industrial area - if you open your window, trucks and heavy equipment will wake you up as early as 5am.

Overall, for a total of 80 Euro per night (incl. breakfast for two), I don’t recommend this hotel to any traveller. I should have looked through comments first before choosing...

It is indeed a quiet place to rest your bones, but coming from abroad you will be disappointed to see it's placed quite at the peripheria, in an industrial zone. It's a new building, quite fancy and decorated with good taste. The rooms are clean & cozy, but you might find them a bit chilly, with no heating available during cold Autumn days. Also, you might have a surprise finding spiders, inside and outside, they seem to enjoy this place... I highly recommend the restaurant, it has a great baroque atmosphere, and the food is excellent, and served...

We arrived in Kosice around 1am, the hotel was a convenient 10min drive away.||Reception is staffed 24/7, and we had a warm welcome despite the awkward arrival time.||I messaged the hotel a couple of times before the stay (via Booking), they were always helpful and quick to reply.||Room was perfectly clean and comfortable.||There was a large selection of options for breakfast.
