We stopped by after a nice walk in Kvačianska valley. This place is one of two places you can stop for a lunch in Kvacany. Although we did not visit the other one, I guess this is far better option. The brewery with a restaurant and hotel are surrounded with a nicely kept garden where kids can play around. We ordered a chicken soup and pork knuckle and it turned out to be a very good choice. Overally, the food and beer was excellent and staff was very polite and helpful. ||||However, there were several things that left us with mixed feeling. I admit, it might be partly caused by our high expectations. So what we have found disappointing? The prices for the food and beer we had were perfectly appropriate. However, they were pretty high for other things - cappuccino for 2,20, which was made by automatic coffee maker (I would really expect a nice cappuccino, not a blend something from the automatic coffee machine for that price), ice cream cost double the average price (3 euros for Magnum) and 6,90 for fried cheese (well, i would not order it either). The coffee and ice cream prices, well it is not worth the quality served.||||The surrounded garden was beautiful, the entrance to toilets were perfectly hidden behind som trees and flowers, but again. The part of terrace in the very back unfinished corner served as some warehouse. I would definitely prefer to sit facing the garden next time. Also, there is a cute wooden house in the garden that attracts kids a lot. However, there is a announcement that is a privat space for the family Gallas (?) with addition - Gallas family only. Although it is a brewery, it was mostly visited by the families with kids visiting nearby valley (at least while we were there). Keeping the kids out of the little house was thus a non-stop work for their parents. The back of the terrace should really be completed and that little wooden house - well either allow other kids to enter it or take it away and hide that thing bellow it somehow else ||||And the last thing, the man in jogging pants (middle age and bearded). I am not sure who he was, but his presence was very disturbing for me. He obviously was not a guest, he felt there very comfortable. If it was the owner, I would expect him to not to sit around sprawly either on the terrace ot inside the restaurant in the jogging pants and watching other guest but suit up a little bit and talk to guests if he wants to know how it is going. ||||To sum up, perfect food and a very nice staff as well as a nice surrounding broken by that little things, that left us with a mixed feeling. However, If you look for the good food and beer, this...
Oceňujem najmä nadštandardný prístup veľmi seriózneho majiteľa, neskutočne ochotný a milý človek.
Read moreWe have visited this place a few times now over the last couple of years. The food is good if not a little expensive for Slovakia, but worth it I think. The setting is very nice, service very good. Family friendly too. On one visit we were exhausted after a long trek, the owner kindly offered us a lift back to our pension in the next village. The standout feature is the home brewery, great beers and something...
