Hotel Dastan — Hotel in Levice

I recently stayed at Dastan Hotel and had a mixed experience. We arrived very late due to travel delays, but the staff was incredibly understanding and got us into our room as quickly as possible, which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, about an hour into our stay, the power in our room went out and couldn't be fixed until the next day. Thankfully, the AC worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the heat, and we had enough charge on our devices to stay connected. Also the curtains drapes are totally see-through so no chance of sleeping in especially after jet lag.

The room itself had modern, neat furniture, but I found the duvet to be too small for comfort and there was only one very soft pillow. The carpets looked a bit worn and could use an upgrade to match the furniture. On the positive side, all public areas were very clean, and the ownership and staff were accommodating and hands-on.

One of the highlights was the full hot breakfast included each morning, featuring a decent selection of eggs, meats, cheeses, juices, breads, salads, fruits, and all the necessary condiments. I recommend getting there early for the freshest options.

The hotel also boasts an amazing wellness center, although we couldn't enjoy it since it's only open from September to April. The rates are very reasonable, and it seems well-equipped to host various groups and events.

Hotel Dastan is placed at 10 minutes walk from Levice centre in a semi-industrial zone. I stayed there 2 times for 2 different business trip and the accomodation rooms were the double ones. There are some problem about rooms: from the shower always comes a bad smell of sewer that fill the room's air; windows are quite big but the curtains are too faint and in the morning there is no protection from light of morning sun (not so good to wake up at 5 am with sun on the face!); TV is ridicilous, 17 inch in 2017 is very small.||Breakfast is another weakness: global bad quality of the meal, from coffee of automatic machine to the cakes. There are also apples but last time were rotten. ||Employees are quite polite but not so careful to guest needs. ||I think I won't make a reservation...

Das Hotel ist modern eingerichtet und nicht sehr groß. Die Dame an der Reception ist auch am Morgen für das Frühstück zuständig. Das Zimmermädchen kommt alle 2 Tage. Frische Handtücher bekommt man bei Bedarf an der Rezeption.||Unser Zimmer war groß, jedoch leider etwas dunkel am Tag. Beim schlafen hat man nichts vom Straßenverkehr gehört. Durch Corona war am Abend/Nacht nur wenig verkehr. Die Matrazen sind hart, wir konnten darauf gut schlafen.||Der Wellneßbereich wurde erst letzten September in Betrieb genommen. Mit einer finnischen Saune, Kräutersaune und Dampfbad sehr gut ausgestattet. Neben Whirlpool gab es noch einen Ruheraum für 4 Personen. Da der Wellneßbereich kostenfpflichtig ist, war auch nicht viel los.||Leider hatte das Frühstück nicht das Niveau vom restl. Hotel. ||Als Frühstückgenießer, dann fängt der Tag gut an, hat leider fast nichts gepaßt.||Den Kaffee gab es nur als Pulver (Instand). Es gab keine Brötchen nur Toast und trockenes Brot, was solange im abgedeckten Korb lag, bis es verzehrt wurde.||Nach 3 Tagen trocken Brot/Toast habe ich mir beim Bäcker Körnerbrot geholt und zum Frühstück mitgenommen. Spiegeleier, Würstchen und Fleischiges war in einem Warmhaltebehälter, dieser wurde mit 2 - 3 Teelichter gewärmt. D. h. jeden Tag gab es kalte Eier etc.. Wurst, Salami und Käse gab es als Belag, leider keine Joghurt oder Obst. Nach einer Woche Hotelaufenthalt habe ich mich schon auf das heimige Früchstück gefreut.||Ein weiterer negativer Punkt war die Freundlichkeit der Damen vom Empfang. Von 4 Mitarbeiterinnen, die sich täglich abwechselnden, war eine sehr freundlich, die uns auch am morgen begrüßte, für die anderen Drei war Freundlichkeit leider ein Fremdwort. ||Da Levice für Touristen eher eine Ausnahme ist, übernachten mehr Handwerker im Hotel, dafür reicht dann die...
