Hotel Mýto — Hotel in Mýto pod Ďumbierom

Very nice hotel in the middle of the Lower Tatra Mountains, in a very natural environment, at the end of the village of Myto pod Dumbierom. Close to great ski resorts and to the picks of Chopok and Dumbier, you can ”climb” on Chopok with cableways and enjoy the great panorama. From Chopok you can see on the north the region of Liptov, the great lake of Liptovska Mara and Liptovsky Mikulas, the High Tatras too, on the south the Lower Tatras and the whole area of the Central Slovakia. Friendly for visiting on foot, bike, car... The hotel is nice, clean and the staff is pleasant and helpfull. The rooms are clean and sunny, but you should ask the rooms that looks to the forest. The road can be noisy sometimes :) There is also a noisy (in a good, very good sense) creek who enhance the nice atmosphere of forest and mountains. We stayed in October 2014 for two nights and booked it last minute, and not much was available. The hotel looks nice from the outside, it has spacious parking area, the hotel lobby and restaurant is new, however the rooms could use some refurbishing, the beds aren't very comfortable, the hot water in the shower runs out after a longer shower. Breakfast was fine, hot and cold food, good coffee, however, it should be included in the price of the room. The price of breakfast was 6.50 €. Wellness area is quite ok, clean and relatively new - one sauna room, one steam room, whirpool and a small pool with jets. Wellness must be booked at least one hour before. Wifi in the rooms did not work, only at the reception area and there is no other internet connectiom available. Nečakali sme luxus ale toto bolo naozaj zlé. Hotel síce má potenciál ale chcelo by to nákladnejšiu investíciu. Začnem pozitívami :

nespokojnosť s pridelenou izbou vyriešila recepčná promptne raňajky chutné a vcelku široké, ak by sa dopĺňali bolo by to super poloha hotela, v krásnej prírode s dobrou dostupnosťou nový výťah niektoré izby s balkónom (žiaľ nie tá naša) mínusy : okno v izbe umiestnené tesne pod stropom, videli sme von iba na špičkách = málo svetla v izbe a pocit ako v pivnici rušil nás hluk kúpeľňového ventilátora z VEDĽAJŠEJ IZBY nefuknčná TV resp. išli iba asi dva programy, inak len šumelo, čo bol v čase MS vo futbale dosť problém pre môjho partnera chýbajúce úchytky na nábytku, zatečený strop wellnes katastrofa - eukaliptová sauna bez eukaliptu, soľná sauna nefunkčná, kneipov kúpeľ nefunkčný v bazéne horúca voda kde je človeku po 15 minutach zle, po lyžovačke to môže byť fajn ale v lete by sa človek rad aj osviežil raňajky nedoplňane , chodili sme za 5 minut 8 aby sme mali istotu že sa nam ujde, po vyprazdnení mís sa po personále zľahla zem, tí čo si prispali to riešili sťažnosťou u manažéra čoho sme boli svedkom a urobili by sme to rovnako automat na džus na raňajkach bez sirupu - tiekla len čistá voda večere slabé, malé porcie, vôbec sme sa nenajedli čapované pivo teplé a bez bubliniek (0,3 za 1,30 €) ako čerešnička pri odchode sme si vypočuli rozhovor medzi recepčnou a čašničkou ktora pred viacerými hosťami použila silne vulgarne slová, čo dotvorilo celkový dojem Dúfam že priložené fotky...
