Pension Straw House — Hotel in Malá Ida

Through my travels, I have yet to come upon a place that is truly perfect. This is the place. If you are coming for a night a week or a month, and want a truly beautiful, quiet place to relax, look no further. You will only be 5 minutes from the golf course and a grocery store where you can buy food and alcohol, and only 20 minutes away from Kosice. OK, back to the Hotel. The rooms are spectacular. The beds and linens make you want to stay in them long after you wake up. Beautiful Baths, lots of hot water, flat screen TV'S, room service, great food, and the list goes on and on. They will cater your next big party or wedding. (I have been there for 2) And they do a perfect job. I really wish there was one thing I could say bad about the Hotel or Staff. But there is nothing. By the way. Did I mention the Staff? They are the best. Some speak a bit of English, some German, and most, Slovak. If you want to waste your time and money, look at other other places. As I am very offen in Košice and have more experiences with several hotels all around, this time I traveled with my two children(5,10). I was nor sure about location, distance to the downtown etc. Anyhow it was just perfect choice. Quiet place with very nice and good equiped wellnes, just few minutes to the center, few minutes to the airport. ||The rooms where clean and big enough. And very important , the are not saving on heat as I am used to freeze in Nederlands or in England. Cozy and warm. The servis was good, the breakfast offer was good even for my children , which is not usual at all. The menu is an interesting mixture of local specialities and modern international kitchen. Hotel looks good and you would expect higher value. I experienced one dinner there 4 years ago and I remembered this hotel as special place. A lot can change in 4 years, because now it hasn't got much from former "glory".|We stayed 2 nights and had family dinner. Our table was dirty on several places so we were offered different table. Unfortunately, dirty as well. |Food was good but ordinary, nothing special.|Room was clean on the first sight. On the second it was used (hole on the wall can be seen in photo).
